The property is still being refurbished in parts, so there were handymen around. Can’t be helped, but make sure your kids wear shoes at all times just in case. Only blinds in the bedroom, no curtains, so did let light in

The staff were absolutely amazing, they went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was delicious, good variation and quality of food - brilliant for the price. The entrance area is stunning

The carpark is very limited, during the day workers were taking up the space I had to pay for parking during my staying

The sea front location, right in the town centre close to all amiantinites. The hotel has been refurbished the entrance was lovely, staff was very polite and room was very clean.

We arrived really late from walking the Wales Coast Path and had booked at the very last minute, the man at the reception did everything to help us checking-in even though there was a problem with the reservation on their end, while other hotels didn’t even bother!! Thanks so much :) The hotel is really nice too.

Small point, with children in adjoining room would have been nice to have a door between our rooms rather than a curtain so we could watch tv once the children were asleep

Excellent location right on the beach and close to the pier. Recently refurbed reception and restaurant are lovely spaces to be, most of all though the staff and Managers were amazing and so helpful with us travelling with two small children, can’t thank them enough!

Dirty carpets. Tatty carpets at edge of skirting boards. Paint stains on floors in bathroom. Extractor fan in bathroom not working.

As you walk in the hotel is was lovely. You could see it had been revamped. Lovely big tiles on floor new seating ceilings wall lights. Lovely. Couldn’t complain. Stair way was dirty carpets & stairs. All stained. Not sure if this was getting a revamp aswell but it needed it. Room was big but carpet was rotten & all stained. Over looking the Carpark & kitchen chimney vents & noisy. I asked to get moved. We got put on the next floor. Much better room. (Clean carpet). Bathroom ceiling was stained from water damage or leak from above. Paint stains on vinyl floor. Bathroom air vent extractor fan not working. No covering on bathroom window. Frosted glass so I couldn’t get a shower in the night in case some one could see from car park. Took 2 of us to open bed room window cause there really heavy sash windows. Had to keep them open with a wedge of wood. Door into room had a good 1inch gap at bottom. These are supposed to be fire doors. I hope these get looked at. Edging of carpets needed around skirting where tatty looking. Hopefully these are all in the revamp to. Breakfast was lovely. Good choice to choose from. Staff where so nice & friendly

There is nothing I didn’t like about the property, the only slight inconvenience was work being carried out but that was kept to a minimum in customer areas, and at the end of the day this is been done to improve the customer stay.

The location of the hotel is perfect, it is currently being updated and they are close to finishing. It is well furnished and the staff cannot do enough to help you. I will be staying again in the future space keep up the good work.

Overpriced considering there was no facilities available, due to my mobile phone being on silent whilst driving then no internet available till after we booked in, we didnt know we couldnt get a drink or food at the hotel 328 quid was extortionate even tho it was bank holiday we thought for 1 night stay

The lighting in the room isn't very bright . Also, we weren't supplied with any towels, but this might be because we booked relatively late and turned up half an hour later.

Nice and close to the beach and town. Nice and friendly staff as well. Room was a lovely temperature, which was appreciated after we had just walked up Snowden in very poor,cold weather .

I had booked the room last minute as a surprise for my daughter's 21st birthday. I received an email on confirmation of booking stating that currently the hotel was being refurbished, so no breakfast, no bar or car park were available, however they were looking to reopen on the 6th April ( we were staying on the 4th), so to me it sounded like it would be nearly finished. When i arrived, there was builders fences around the front of the property.One of the builders had to point out the entrance, as there was no signage to indicate where to go instead. There was equipment and people working everywhere...at first i thought i had maybe got the wrong place , because it didn't actually look open at all. The entrance lobby to the side of the hotel was absolutely full to the brim with stuff, they had clearly just had a delivery of interiors things, it was complete chaos. the guy behind reception was quite unapologetic and just said i had received the email to say they were refurbishing and I could still cancel now. It was really upsetting. He showed me the room, which was fine, so i went with it. When we came back down his manager had overheard what i had said and upgraded us to a seaview room, which was nice of her. Overall i am sure it will be a really lovely hotel when it is finished, but i thought the email they sent could have more accurately reflected the state the hotel was going to be in. Bearing in mind I had to book under a no cancellation tariff , cancelling on receipt of email would still have meant that i would have paid for the room immidiately, then would have had to pay for another room and wait for the refund.

The room was really nice.Spacious, clean and with a sea view. The location of the hotel is great and one day it will be a really lovely place to stay.

Only issue was that the cars that were parked in front of the hotel were getting concrete mixture splashed on them, which the workers were being neglectful to as with a little bit of care this could’ve been avoided.

Despite renovations were taking place at the hotel, the stay was comfortable, staff were polite and the hotel was very clean.
