Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThere was no "charming" features, but it was clean, comfortable stay! The road outside felt a little grimey, but it was an easy walk to the main attractions.
This was a pretty good location, a couple minute walk from Princes Street. The stay was clean and comfortable, and the host pointed out several attractions nearby when we checked in. Reasonable continental breakfast. Strangely, my husband and I found the room almost too quiet! Turning on the air handler the second night helped. It was fairly spacious and a good price. I would stay there again.

United KingdomProbably the stairs from the elevator wasn’t nice after a huge day or walking and hike. However, it’s only a few steps. But with heavy luggage, it might be inconvenience
The staff and the location was the star of this listing. Truly efficient staff and very warm welcome. The location being in the pink triangle was key to our needs as touristic needs. Very strategically placed by the tram and buses station. A/C was very useful during the heat wave when we visited.

United KingdomPoor breakfast layout. Guests crammed into a very small self service layout. In maximising the number of rooms, the current layout doesn't provide a comfortable, safe breakfast area. Also, the smoke detector is right above the bed and the status function light flashes every 30 seconds or so which makes it difficult to sleep.
Friendly staff. Value for money. Great location. Had everything we needed. Would stay again.

IrelandThe interior is dated in rooms. A bit pricey for a 3* but can't beat the location.
Great location, nice breakfast spread, front staff were very helpful. Free tea and coffee all day was a great bonus, plus the bag storage after check out for the day was great (our flight was in the evening and it saved us carrying our luggage around all day!)
