Lovely hotel in wonderful grounds. Room reasonable size and common areas very spacious and comfortable. Only had breakfast which was OK. Beautiful terrace with plenty of tables and seating.

Breakfast was a buffet. Reception although nice, I had to approach 3 times to cancel a breakfast for my second morning. Still waiting out to see if the repayment will happen. Food seemed quite expensive - so I went elsewhere.

Grand. Looks lovely. Doesn't feel cheap in anyway. Felt, as wanted, a luxury weekend.

We were put in another building not the main hotel it was clean but the rooms were very hot as no air con the bed was very uncomfortable gave both of us a sore back & the pillows were too thick I had to resort to using a small decorative Cushion. Although the staff were friendly & polite on several occasions in the bar & At reception had to wait some time for someone to appear to get served & also no reception staff on trying to check out even after finding someone twice who said someone would be there shortly was left waiting around approximately 10 mins such a shame that these simple things let the hotel & stay down .

The food in the bar was quite expensive, I expected that, given the reasonable room rate, but the choice was a bit limited and overly fancy!! You could order the restaurant menu in the bar too. Whilst this is not a bad thing, if I wanted to eat/pay for food like that, I would want to be in the restaurant itself!. I think a simpler menu in the bar works well. Maybe there was a walk around the grounds, but I didn't find one. The grass/ground was sodden after all the rain this winter. A nice pathway would be a great addition.

The main building is beautiful. I was in a more modern building at the back, that also had the gym in it. I asked for a quiet location for my room. I got it! I had some fab sleeps, for a hotel! There was a wedding on the first night. The music was fab! The bar was next to the wedding venue/disco. The grounds of the hotel are huge, and make for a gorgeous view from the bar and suites. The driveway is impressively long!! They had a couple of charging pods for EV's, which as a newby to the world of EV's were easy to use. The room had an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and kettle. Very comfy bed, fabulous walk in shower in the ensuite.ample space for toiletries, huge mirror. In the bedroom, there was a large TV on the wall.full length mirror with a plug socket next to it!! All in all amazing value.

Wonderful afternoon tea and great we could get a gluten free version for my husband. Didn’t like we were seated in the main dining room for it though where there were large parties having Sunday lunch. Not quite the relaxing atmosphere we’d hoped for. Also we were seated by the door so disturbed by people walking passed. Sadly, their gluten free choice for breakfast was non existent and no porridge

The room I booked was listed as 140 a night however after booking the room dropped listing price to £90... Not very happy but other than that it's a decent place to stay

I’d say the only thing was some parts of our room could of done with a better clean and some parts of the walls needed repairing. However it didn’t take away just how lovely it was and would stay again

The room wasn’t clean bathroom shower tiles all yellow in between grout needs good clean lots of dust ect complained many occasions regarding cleaning of the way even staff have been up and said that it wasn’t good but still the same
