Loved the location. 5 minute walk to Ambleside Centre or to the pier. The rooms were very clean, modern and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and gave us great recommendations for our evening meal in Ambleside. The breakfast was delicious

Not long enough there

All was perfect from the minute we arrived and met the lovely Hayley, to the luxurious rooms, beds and shower. Breakfast was superb and the easy access to Ambleside was perfect.

Great location. Parking a'plenty which is good in busy Ambleside. Only 5 minute walk to town centre. Spotlessly clean. Very efficiently run. Very good staff - clearly naturals and well suited to job. Friendly and open. Typical B and B breakfast but very well executed.

Never stayed in Ambleside before, but this little gem of a hotel was lovely. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, When we arrived our room was upgraded from our original room we booked which was a very nice surprise . The bed was very comfortable, the room was immaculate. The breakfast was very nice . Me and my partner absolutely loved our stay we will definitely be returning.

The fact that having booked 8 and a half weeks prior. We were given an attic room. With 3 flights of stairs to negotiate....

Lovely relaxing weekend in Ambleside ,the bed was super comfy ,the breakfast substantial and tasty, staff friendly and efficient all in all a great stay .The car park was large with wide parking bays important to Mr C

nice items were breakfast, the location, and the suite was spacious and wonderful. Bath was wonderful, very enjoyable. Forgot to order breakfast, but the were so accommodating, was no issue to get me a full English and my partner had salmon.

There was nothing I didn't like, but an ev charge point in the car park would be welcome.

The breakfast was wonderful, the guest house is very well decorated and everything looked fresh and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the location is excellent.

Loved it here ! Great location, lovely staff and hayley made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived. Also fresh milk for rooms instead of just plastic cartons ,and good there is an honesty snack/drink for if your hungry etc in a nice relaxing lounge. Food at breakfast was perfect .Will definitely be back .

The scenery and the views were amazing, and the location was perfect as it was walking distance to the nearest town. Nice and quiet in the hotel and relaxing too! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities in the hotel room were comfortable and relaxing to use. We loved the shower room, and the bed was comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast in the mornings was great with a lot of variety. The interior of the hotel was lovely. Car park spaces were nice and wide. Overall, it made our getaway much more of a great experience and would love to come back someday.

On booking I wrongly assumed the property had a bar so thought light snacks would be available. Disappointed that was not an option.

Our two night stay was outstanding in every single way. Pre stay communication is excellent, the welcome received upon check-in is as warm and welcoming as anybody could ask for. The grounds, reception rooms and bedrooms are immaculately kept. Breakfast is a delight. We opted for English breakfast on both morning, which were exceptional both times. The service to go with it was the cherry on the cake for us - absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Location is perfect….park the car on the private grounds and you have a very short walk in either direction dependent upon whether you fancy heading to the lake, or into the centre for a spot of shopping, food or drink (or all three). We’ll definitely be back at the diamond lodge, thank you so so much for making our stay very special!

Lovely spacious,comfortable and clean room with an excellent shower. All the accessories in the room - even the toilet paper were of very good quality. The Diamond Lodge guest house is within easy walking distance of the town centre and there is a bus stop a few yards away on either side of the road. Bus journeys around the area are £2 per person so cheaper to leave the car in the free car park. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cereal and hot food. The staff were very helpful in explaining about transport and recommended venues/shops in town worth visiting.

As stated above, the room could have been bigger but in no way was that a disappointment.

Fabulous place, very friendly staff. Breakfasts were lovely, perfect start to the day! The room we had was perfectly clean although a little small it was a cosy room in the roof. We really enjoyed our stay thank you

Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Ample parking space. Quiet rooms. Five minute walk to centre with shops.,bars and restaurants. Staff were exceptional, giving suggestions for local restaurants and shops. All in a perfect location for visiting the area.
