There wasn’t anything not to like

The hotel was absolutely amazing, the breakfasts in the morning were delicious and good choices, everything was of high standard perfect location being near the lake and was just overall really good would definitely recommend to friends, family and anyone else who would love a good get away in the Lake District .

Breakfast, it didn’t work for us. No chance to have cereal before cooked food arrived. One small glass of juice, no offer of a top-up. Fruit salad offered on the first day, but not the following days. All seems odd as others have said the breakfast was fantastic. It’s a shame it wasn’t for us.

The parking - large car park and easily accessible spaces Location - perfect for exploring Ambleside, only a short walk into the centre Welcome was lovely, along with the phone call the day before. The place was really clean from top to bottom.

Nothing at all. If we have to say one thing, that is, the mattress is not a firm one, but we understand it’s difficult to meet individual needs in this respect

Everything, from the friendly staff, well furnished cosy room to the excellent breakfast. We especially like the pre-ordered breakfast which accommodates all our needs and the portion is generous. The fresh fruit salad should not be missed. There is also plenty of parking spaces which is definitely a plus in Ambleside.

My partner loved the room and the bed. I don't know if it's the fact I'm a bigger guy that I thought the bed in the deluxe room could have been a bit firmer, but that's probably just personal preference

Friendliness of all of the staff. Central location is ideal. Car park is a great addition, morning breakfast was lovely as well. Myself and my partner really liked the pre-order breakfast menu's as well, cutting down on waste and you can order to your specifications ! :)

I think my partner was complaining about his side of the mattress was warn out and being uncomfortable, but nothing else xxx

I decided to write a few words about the place where I recently stayed. Diamond Lodge Ambleside Junior Suite No. 5 - what can I say about this place and the room we live in - absolutely 5* from me. Small guesthouse, walking distance from the city, walking distance to many hiking trails, room with beautiful views, it's a great pleasure to drink coffee/tea in the morning and watch the misty mountains, the rooms are large and quiet, the bed is extremely comfortable, the bathroom is very modern, spacious and beautiful, what worked the most for me (besides the views) was the homely atmosphere, we were very nicely welcomed, the staff was very friendly and always ready to help with anything, whatever you need there to help, another amazing thing for me very much breakfast was important, wow wow wow, so much choice, delicious every time So if you are planning a trip to Ambleside you should definitely consider this place to stay xxx

Staff were amazing very helpful, polite and friendly especially Isabella. Breakfast was fantastic fresh and tasty. Bed was the comfiest I have ever slept in, room was clean and tidy. Fridge in room with water and fresh milk. I would recommend this lovely hotel to anyone. Great location Ambleside centre 5 min walk
