The dinner meals were good on-site however the tasting menu was a little disappointing. I know its the shoulder season, while some of the more junior servers while really nice and well-attentive, they needed some polishing for dinner serving. The more senior staff were excellent so balanced out the experience.

The Hadlow Suite was exceptional and exactly as advertised. Mel the Concierge did an excellent job in bringing us to our room and describing the history of the facility. The Cultra Inn was excellent also and a nice variation. Pool, SPA facilities were top notch and the gym also. Lobby area is well worth a moment to hang out in with a glass of wine.

It was a bit cut off from anything we really had to struggle to buy some toiletries. Also only one restaurant.

The bath tub in the room isn't functional because the water is not hot enough. There were screaming young children in the spa. Room service food not great.

Food in the fine dining restaurant was excellent. Food in the pub on the grounds was great too. Spa treatments were great.

I did have to walk via a public bar area to access the spa which felt a bit weird in my fluffy robe and I am not a massive fan of the pop songs played on piano over the speakers . A bit of quiet in the bar/lounges would have perhaps been nicer.

A truly stunning property in an incredible location. I especially loved the open fire places and the attention to detail in the design. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Room deal we paid was not including breakfast. So we had to pay extra to get it.

Location was good. Room was same floor as Bar and restaurant so it was handy to move with baby. Beautiful decoration inside very traditional style.

The only downfall I found is that the Estate caters more to older clientele. This can be seen in the decor (although castle decor is that way) and more detrimentally in the scent used for soaps, shampoos, etc. which was too strong to my liking.

The location is amazing, you are essentially staying in a castle and the lounge and dining areas look the part. I was particularly impressed by the opportunity to sit in a comfy chair by a fireplace in the lounge. I enjoyed walking around the Estate and by the ocean. I enjoyed the food and relaxing time at the spa. I felt like I was getting a luxurious holiday which was still at an attainable price. I would recommend staying at the estate especially for special occasions.

I could hear the guests in the room next door had to wait till they went to sleep and heard them again next morning earlier than I wanted to get up.

Had an amazing time, great place for a spa break or a short break. The food was delicious and grounds were beautiful! The staff was amazing couldn’t fault them at all. Special thanks to Jack for being so friendly at the check in. Will definitely be back.

Unfortunately it didn’t live up to 5 star rating for me - we came back to our room after dinner (around 10:45pm) but our room hadn’t been turned down for the night. (I was advised by a friend they do this). I found a cleaner in the hallway and asked is this a service they provide and she said the room should have been turned down so she offered to do it but we had to leave the room again in order to do so. We ate at the cultra inn - service was extremely slow and seemed like the only staff working outside of the manager were very young and seemed new on the job. We waited 10-15 mins before being offered a drink. Upon checking out we found that someone had also charged quite a number of drinks to our room. Usually a signature is required for drinks on a room so not sure how this happened. Receptionist was really lovely and rectified straight away but again just put a downer on the whole experience.

Spa compared to other resorts in NI is somewhat lacking in my opinion.

Night away for an anniversary, no real complaints as it's very obviously a 5 start hotel. Staff very accommodating, had a great meal also. Room had everything we wanted and was extremely clean, reasonability priced.

Such a gorgeous setting and hotel. the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and pleasant especially considering it was during the festive period!
