The 3 rooms couldn't be further apart and one was a disabled one (not requested) One room had no views and was well away from the others! Staff on N/s not as helpful as the Day shift!

No kettle or tea coffee in room. Hotel a bit of a labyrinth - unclear directions on how to get to our room but it gave us a laugh!!

Parking was great although having to set up app on arrival was a bit stressful!!

The shower was not up to date, the toilet was leaking and the shower water did not drain. It is a very old building and not kept very nice for a 4 star spot

The TV had problem connecting to the Wifi. Toiletries were not provided on the actual room, had to request on the reception.

The hotel can be cleaner. The facilities like swimming pool and gym are namesake looks bad and unusable.

The staff is very good. Special shout out to Anjali, Sweta in the breakfast services. The reception staff is also good. The location is good and close to the market and eateries.

Several of our guests had very poor check-in experiences with non-functioning showers and phones etc. One checked in around 5pm, after a 5-hour flight delay, only to be given a key to a room that hadn’t been serviced, even though another colleague had verified with Reception that a nice clean room awaited her. In fairness to The Crown they upgraded those guests to better rooms but this shouldn’t have happened in the first place.

The Crown offers good spacious and comfortable rooms at an acceptable price point for our working crew over a period of about 12 days. We booked several rooms.

I did call the hotel before arriving to ask about disabled parking facilities. I was correctly told that there are disabled parking bays but I was incorrectly told that there would not be a charge. On arrival I was informed there would be a charge as the car park is managed by a different company. This was my only complaint. I was incorrectly informed about the charges. I made a point of checking the situation and I was misinformed. I am still not sure what to expect next time if I book again because the charge was wavered because I didn’t think it fair that I had been given conflicting information.

Staff were helpful and although there was a problem with choice of food on our second night we overlooked that there was a problem as we were enjoying our stay. Given the position of the hotel, busy area, main road, the hotel manages to isolate you from the noise and traffic.

For st Patrick’s day weekend staff behind bar were not friendly and had no proper vodka also junior sweet booked very disappointed it was very basic also car parking was not free you had to pay separate so it should be free for guests

Had to wait to check-in. No real explanation. Despot not arriving until 15.45 we had to wait until after 16.30hrs! Also receptionist was not very helpful with the parking. Bar staff seemed to be overstretched and not really know what they were doing.

Proximity to transport links with the City. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.

There weren't enough staff on a lot of the time. The staff who were on were working hard but they had to be in multiple places at once. At breakfast there were only two staff on and the place was very busy. When we went and had food in the bar on our first day there, there was only one staff member on who was getting pulled from the lounge to the bar and out onto reception so the service was slow. One of the lifts always seemed to be broken too so there was usually a queue/decent wait for the one working lift.

Good location with lots of buses and the train near by. Nice big room which was clean and the beds were very comfy.
