location in a quiet village just outside Cambridge and only 1 mile to park and ride into the city.we had Sunday dinner 1st night and was the nicest meat etc served. 2nd nite fish mains again good food.

The room felt cold on arrival and it took ages for the heater to kick in. The room key was fiddly - would be good if the keypad battery could be replaced to allow use of that instead.

The bed - lovely firm mattress and supportive pillows! Breakfast fruit compote! Everything about the dinner we ordered - beautifully-cooked meat, flavoursome crunchy vegetables (recommend the smoked-paprika-infused broccoli), indulgent chocolate delice and eye-opening cheese selection.

Small ish rooms

Friendly pub with great food. We had an event here, and several friends also stayed. The staff went out of their way to make our event run smoothly. The food and service was excellent.

The loo was offset as the sink was too big. Just replace the sink for a smaller, wall hung sink. And have a normal loo

The village is tiny and just outside Cambridge. There is a park and ride but because of issues with rental car we couldn’t use. Buses ran very infrequently so we had to taxi in and out of town.

Good sized rooms with nice outlook. Very good food available for all meals. Staff were very helpful when we encountered problems with our car rental and had a flat tyre.

The staff were not the most friendly especially when serving breakfast and we had to ask multiple times for breakfast buffet foods to be replaced.

Everything was fantastic here. The staff were very welcoming and helpful (even offering to start serving breakfast early as we had an early start!) The room was lovely, comfortable bed, great shower and I especially liked the cofffee machine. Had a lovely dinner in the pub too!

As mentioned to the manager, nobody had cleaned out the shower or basin drains in a long while meaning that both drained very badly. Possibly a negative only for our room but there appeared to be a very noisy pump type thing that interrupted the peace of the night.

Food we had evening meal my wife’s lamb was cooked wonderfully however her peas look and felt as if they had been hanging around a bit ( hard). As for mine the bun was over toasted the halloumi was overcooked the gherkins sliced would have been better. As for the mushroom it was a single on not sliced just there in the middle. I had not finished my starter and the main course had come out which was a bit awkward as the waitress just stitcher waiting for me to finish.

They could have lines or deciders in the car park for each space because of the amount of drivers who feel entitled to take two species was shocking and there could have been at least ten more spaces in an already filled carpark.

The pub, the location and staff even with a little hiccup about breakfast at fast was quickly resolved. Every was amazing and well worth the money only let down was the bathroom extraction fan had broke. And fir some time as there was a little mould. Other than that. Amazing.
