Manor Room was small but adequate and had everything you need.

Excellent location, comfy king size bed, stylish bar/restaurant with stunning views, tea/coffee/cookies replenished every day. Nice dessert and card in room on arrival for husbands birthday. Lovely powerful shower. Would definitely come back.

So glad we found this little gem of a hotel situated just top of the hill of Bowness, it’s perfect walking distance to the town. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was delicious. We also enjoyed the drinks on the terrace when the rain allowed. We cannot wait to return to this fabulous hotel! As it was our wedding anniversary they us pretty surprise with bottle of wine on arrival it was so lovely

The location of the hotel is excellent, with both Windermere and Bowness within walking distance. We found all the staff to be friendly and the breakfasts were very good.

Proximity to the bus stop and also both Bowness Pier and Windermere. The hotel was pretty clean with a great view from the dining area. Staff was very friendly and very accommodating.

The rooms we had were at the front of the hotel and unfortunately there was traffic/road noise .

Location is perfect, close to lots of eating places, shops and the lake. Easy to walk to Ambleside little town . Breakfast was amazing, really good. Outside veranda was perfect to look out over the lake and hills whilst having breakfast and evening drinks. Parking available too. Refurbishment is done to a really high standard. All in all a fab hotel .

Having been the Craig Manor many times before and always enjoyed our stay. To go on this occasion to see the amazing renovations they have done, the terrace overlooking the gardens and the lake is beautiful. The lounge breakfast and bar areas are very modern and tasteful done . The staff are so welcoming homely and helpful. The manager is really good at his job and very sociable with his guest in a nice way. Our room was great lovely modern shower room with lovely view and spotless. We can’t wait to go again.

The hotel has been refurbished from top to bottom with an exceptionally lovely dining room looking out over Lake Windermere. In addition, the dining area has been doubled in size with a marvellous outside space, also over the lake. The hotel does not offer lunches or evening meals but the breakfasts are exceptional with a wide choice of European and British options. Very friendly staff.

The matress was too soft for us and the room was hot (with no heating on). The other room we booked was fine room temp wise.

Nicely designed hotel and rooms with a restaurant overlooking the lake (great balcony to enjoy your morning coffee). Great food (weren't expecting it to be that good) with substantial breakfast buffet in the morning. Staff were pleasant and welcoming.
