Staying beside the river in this hotel was just divine.i loved being able to listen to the wildlife with the views of the river, sitting on our balcony. The breakfast was perfect, full Welsh breakfast, cereals, fruit, Greek yogurt etc. Nice little gem of a hotel, I will definitely visit again. 5 ⭐

The standard rooms are 3 star at best. Ours was dated and lacking facilities. The mattress was awful. The food in the restaurant is good but it really doesn't warrant the price tag .

The location is amazing and staff are fantastic, Kind helpful and courteous. The dining area is lovely with great views.

we had the room at the top of the hotel, and when we stayed it was in the heatwave so it was extremely hot and very uncomfortable for our dogs, but I suppose the cost of installing air conditioning would be too expensive.

These are just small things you could change, not complaints. 1) I would not have music on the beautiful deck; it's distracting and takes away from the beautiful river and nature noises. If you must, your spekers are tinny and only top end, really grating. 2) Scwhepps tonic water is gross - fever tree all the way. 3) Your lovely and polite restaurant breakfast wait-girl on the last day was run off her feet; I would have thought the woman on the bar/reception, could have at least lent a hand clearing tables or something when she had nothing to do.

Over all it was excellent' would have loved a room with a river view, but hey, you cannot win them all.

I didn't like the buffet in breakfast, there was not much choice comparing the prove that I have paid and 4 stars hotel!

The hotel has a wonderful view, the staff were very friendly and the premisees look good I will definitely go again but not paying last minute price!

the hotel is absolutely spotless, food was beautiful and staff were amazing, very friendly and made us feel comfortable. we will be returning to the hotel in the near future and because the hotel is pet friendly we will be taking our fur baby with us

You can tell the building is old, but it’s not ‘dreary’ it has character! I don’t have anything bad to say…. maybe some new mattresses, as the one side had broken springs so I kept sliding off the edge!

The property was sensational, beautifully situated! Not far away from shops but also isolated for peace and serenity.

breakfast was delicious although it would be nice if pancakes were on the menu, there was only prunes, grapefruit and melon as the fruit optins, a few other fruits would be nice too for those of us who might not necessarily go for a cooked breakfast. lovely freshly baked croissants and pastries available too, lovely. the setting for the hotel was idyllic.

Staff friendly, informative and excellent people skills. Great location as quiet area with lovely walks and lots of wild life all around. Owner dropping in regularly to meet guests was lovely touch.

The dinner menu was limited however that was understandable. Staff sometimes not as proactive as we have experienced elsewhere.

Breakfast was lovely and set against the beautiful scenery of the river .
