Such a warm welcome and comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious and we were offered more if we wanted it! Will definitely go again, sooner rather than later!

the location is perfect for visiting kemptown and Brighton. the room is beautiful and spacious. the owners are absolute sweethearts as we were getting married that weekend. they write us a sweet card and made our stay extra special.

Unfortunately typical expensive Brighton prices for accommodation, but this is not solely with Starlings Guest House, it’s the same right across Brighton, which I know does prevent some people from staying in Brighton as they cannot justify the expense of the accommodation in the town.

I didn't like that I had to leave!!!

My lovely Julie and Milena I am so sorry it's taken me almost a week to write this review.... I miss you both already!!! To think I almost cancelled this trip due to a back injury :O This weekend was exactly what I needed.... First of all the location is SPOT on. You can see the sea from the front door and it takes only a few minutes to get down to the beach. Julie and Milena welcomed me and they are just beauuuutiful people. I can't love them anymore. They were so friendly and welcoming, but also very helpful with getting around Brighton and giving me LOTS to do (my weekend was packed from start to finish which I loved) The room is perfect, it has everything you need (and arriving home to a different chocolate each evening me my day!) Sharing a bathroom with the other room on my level was no problem at all, it was alwaysss kept clean. Now let's get onto the breakfasts.... wow wow wow. Milena REALLY filled me up haha! The best breakfast I've had in a long time. SO good that I didn't just have one each morning I have at least 2 servings (oopsy) but it was so worth it. Sitting downstairs and eating breakfast with the ladies and other guests was such a highlight for me. We were always laughing, I felt I came away from this weekend with lifelong friends. Julie and Milena, your place is gorgeous, you 2 are beautiful and I can't wait to return!!!! xxx

The on suit is a bit dated, but this is a very minor point.

It’s classic style and the bed linen was beautifully clean and crisp.

Our room several flights up narrow stairs and not the same as illustrated on booking.com. Location is very awkward for car parking but hosts offer parking permits for £10 a day which helped a lot as long as you could find a parking space!

Excellent service and a very good breakfast of your choosing. Friendly hosts and accommodation was adequate and clean.- Just a short walk from the beach.

We liked everything about Starlings,from its accessibility the cleanliness of the property and the excellent cooked breakfasts. Our hosts were most informative and couldn’t do anymore to make our stay a pleasant experience.

Julie & Melinda were so friendly and welcoming. Choice of breakfast was excellent from cereal to a freshly cooked full English. Our room was spotless as was the rest of the house. Would highly recommend The Starling Guest House. Will be staying there again.

This stay was perfect, everything was fantastic, from the well cooked breakfast to the warm accommodating hosts! I stayed in a single room which was compact but had everything you needed. Everything was clean and fresh. I had a great time staying here and would be back in a heartbeat. Julie and Melina were welcoming and friendly, happy to give recommendations and as a solo traveller they were great for conversation over breakfast too. Guesthouse is within walking distance to all the main Brighton attractions, and a stone's throw from the beach. You can't go wrong!

Bigger room and bigger ensuite, we had an attic room with low ceiling on one side, kept banging my head. Three floors ,if not very mobile get a ground floor and a light case🙂

Breakfast was good quality,location was not to far from the centre,5 mins walk. Our room was small and the ensuite was very tight, I had to dry in the room, it was adequate for a day or two but any longer and we'd look for a larger room. Owners very welcoming and friendly.

The location was brilliant - short walk to the beach and shops/restaurants just around the corner, while so peaceful and relaxing in the B&B. Julie and Melina were absolutely lovely - so friendly and full of excellent advice about the area. The room was really clean and well thought through.

The bedside lamp is a strange orb that is too dim for reading. You need the main light to be able to read in bed, and you need to get up to switch it off to sleep.

The guest house is very, very clean. This is great because I have allergies and I detect dust and mold very easily. Top marks for cleanliness!!!
