Great communication with the owner who allowed us to check in later than their standard hours. The room was clean, cozy and as per the photos. Appreciated very much the window's soudproof given that our room was facing the main room. Breakfast was good, freshly prepared.

The friendliest and most accomodating guesthouse I've ever been to. Lots of little things make this place a special place to stay, very thoughtful and kind hosts consistently went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience. We stayed here as part of the Coast to Coast cycle. An amazing place to relax and rest after a full days activity.100% would recommend to any couple looking for a lovely overnight stay!

Shaun and Tracey are charming and extremely helpful hosts. The decor is worthy of a five star+ hotel. There was fresh milk in a flask in the bedroom with the kettle, etc. ( I don't mind UHT milk too much, but I prefer fresh milk). There were lots of little special touches. All four of us (two couples in our 70s) were very impressed and happy.

When we arrived in Penrith, we had booked a hotel for the wrong date. Tracy was extremely accommodating letting us stay for the night in one of the best rooms she had available. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. Tracy again going above and beyond to make us comfortable welcome and meeting our requests. A fantastic day we would definitely come in again

The accommodation was extremely clean, well looked after and tastefully decorated with every facility you could need and it was also situated within very easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. It is at noisy junction till about 2200. Much quieter with window closed. This was not an issue for us.

Location. Free on site parking. Comfortable room. Clean bathroom. Good breakfast. Welcoming host. Ideal location for stop over en route to Scotland.

The property was super clean and our room was gorgeous. The shower was exceptional. Shaun and Tracey were lovely hosts and have loads of information, hints and tips about the local area. And the wee surprise they had for us meant such a lot to us, thank you so much. I can’t recommend Cornerhouse Guesthouse enough, superb place to stay, beautiful property and very clean.

Lovely place - immaculately kept up and cozy rooms. The breakfast was abundant and healthy. I was able to store my luggage on site the day I checked out so I could do some site seeing. Such generous hosts!
