Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandRoom was tiny, really was a single room with two beds crammed into it. Very muggy down in the basement rooms. Rooms so crammed together that I was kept awake by someone in a neighbouring room snoring. Had to check in in one place and then the room itself was in another place up the road.
Facilities were modern and clean, didn't skimp on toilet roll like so many hotels do. Price was reasonable for London. Shepherd's Bush a lovely location.

United KingdomWe had a roof top room which was a lot of stairs up to room, to smoke you would have to walk down all way back down to bottom. The shower towels were very small. (Teenage sizes not adult) We were also woken up by the cleaner banging on the door one and a half hours before we had to check ... This woke my children up who were still sleeping. Was told had WiFi but being on top room it didn't work.
Location was great and walking distance to Hammersmith Apollo. It was very clean.

United KingdomI wanted to book anonther night and the front desk staff offered me another night for £120 if paid by card or £100 if paid cash. I don't know why the price difference because of the payment method but when I told him I am going to think about it till the next day, he told me that it might increase as he already gave me 2 discounts, originally it was £150 which he dropped to £120 and dropped again to £100 if paid by cash. I felt being fooled because he didn't originally mentioned the £150 and I just checked the same room on booking in the morning and was offered below £100. It's unprofessional to fool your guests like this. You didn't do me a favor with these discounts as the room price was already below that number you gave me. is it to force me to take a quick decission to book? well that didn't work because I didn't stay another night in your hotel. The staff was unprofessional. Another point the family room was underground and the stairs were very small. If you are a family then it should be at least on the ground floor as they might come with prams and a lot of bags. The hotel doesn't respond to phone calls or booking messages.
Location was very good near a lot of shops, underground Tube and a free parking from 6PM to 9AM, plus you could buy the same parking spot for relatively cheap price. The hotel was good for the price that was paid.

Czech RepublicAs I mentioned last time, the beds are seriously too small, however this time we knew about this in advance, so it was not as annoying as during our first stay.
Our second stay in this hotel and we were just as satisfied as last time. The location of the hotel is perfect, which is why we picked it again. Both check in and check out were once again really quick, the staff was very friendly as usual and our room was cleaned every day. This time we even had fridge directly in the room, which was really appreciated.

United Kingdom- the map lead me to another hotel in their chain, which when I tried to open the door it was locked. Looking through the windows it almost looked abandoned, there was a mattress randomly in the front yard - the building itself could do with a bit of a makeover, ripped carpets and peeling paint - the room was so cramped and it was hard to walk past one of the twin beds to get to the other - the shower door was jammed and difficult to open - the kettle was in desperate need of a clean so I didn’t have any of the complimentary tea - there was no one to let me check out, and the door to reception was locked, so ended up just leaving my card key on a window ledge
- The property is really close to the 02 Hammersmith, and there’s a sainos nearby too - staff were very nice and friendly - despite being next to a main road, very little noise at night

United KingdomWhen we walked in the room the TV was on , playing children show quite loudly , the remote control was yellow , toy looking, without battery cover and not working. We tried to turn off the Tv for good 10 minutes but none of the buttons ant the front of the TV worked and there was no wall plug to turn it off. After further inspection we've found the switch behind the TV. The kettle had a mold in it (kettle got replaced on request) one of the wall lamps was not working. There were no shampoo and tea spoons in the room.
The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful. The beds were nicely done , the room was quiet and warm. The room and bathroom were cleaned properly and looked good,overall we had a good nights sleep.
