The room was clean and comfortable and very quiet. Lynne was an exceptional host very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was amazing and nothing was too much trouble.

Walking up the hill, it's not too much trouble if you're young, but us older people found it a struggle.

Lynne & George welcome you with open arms, always chatty and friendly. They're a lovely couple and will go out of their way to make everything comfortable for you.

We loved everything at the Coast Guest House. The owners were lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The breakfast was excellent and they made it gluten free for us. They gave us some great tips on places to see, restaurants and pubs as well. The guest house was only a short walk away from Whitby centre and having a parking space was very handy. We would highly recommend it and would love to stay again.

That we couldn't stay for longer! Wasn't an issue for us but property is on a hill but fantastic bus service if required. For us it worked off all the food we ate.

We came as guests and left feeling like family. It was nice to feel so welcomed. True Yorkshire couple couldn't do enough for us. The room was beautiful with a lovely view of the Abbey. Breakfast was great lots of choice and all the best ingredients.

Wow! What a place. Lynne and George were amazing, welcoming and chatty, making us feel like we had come to a family members house more than a hotel. We had arrived a lot later than we thought because of the drive up, but Lynne was very welcoming into the guest house, providing us with some local places to see and visit. The room was amazing, well sized with a lovely bathroom and beautifully decorated. We could have easily stayed in the guest house for the entirety of the stay - but there's so much to explore in Whitby. The breakfast was very nice, well proportioned and very well cooked which always filled us up until dinner time. And the COFFEE! Never had it before, but it was the best coffee I've had in a very long time, thoroughly recommend the coffee. We were the last guests of the season and had the guest house to ourselves on the last two days of our stay. Lynne even offered us the large top floor room if we wanted to move (the top floor room is what we're hoping to book next time, with its stand alone bath). The guest house was the right distance from town, not too far out of town with a little bit of a walk up hill from Whitby. Lynne and George were always happy to provide ideas of places to visit or special ways of how to get there, which is great when you've never been to Whitby.

Lynn & George were brilliant hosts. Both were friendly and went above and beyond to help and assist. Rooms were clean and comfortable with plenty of tea & coffee. Breakfast was outstanding with plenty to choose from. The walk from hotel to the pier was 10 mins with plenty of shops, bars. Would definitely recommend .

Lynn and George were brilliant host’s nothing was to much trouble so helpful about Whitby and it’s history 👍the room was fantastic most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in 😃and the breakfast was just great loads of choices set us up brilliantly for the day George even dropped us off in his car so we didn’t get lost has it was our first trip to Whitby what an absolute star ⭐️ would definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful B&B just a shame our stay wasn’t a longer one LOVE IT❤️

Absolutely nothing. Everything was perfect!

The whole place was immaculate, beautifully presented and gorgeous decor. Lynne and George are the perfect hosts. Super friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to make your visit the best possible. We can’t wait to go back and would recommend them to everyone. They really made our weekend special. A wonderful family atmosphere at breakfast, it was a real treat.

Nothing not to like EXCELLENT

The hosts excelled at every aspect so friendly and mind of information nothing too much trouble. Breakfast full english also cerials plenty of fresh fruit excellent. timing 8-9 Also car bays at the back of the house and easy to walk to town - hard going back up the hill ha ha. House has 3 bedrooms all marvellous everything spotless highly recommend!

You need a level of fitness to get into town where parking is a nightmare and the uphill walk can be taxing.

This is high end accommodation with excellent hosts. Very friendly and very helpful staff 👍
