Nothing at all. It was great value for money.

The apartment is in a beautiful and picturesque location, very peaceful and quiet. The property is part of a small group of cottages with a little courtyard and horses in the adjoining field. It’s only a short drive to Whitby where we visited during the day and went out to eat in the evening. We found the location to be perfect. It’s furnished and decorated to a very high standard and the photos don’t do it justice. It was lovely and warm and we were very comfortable. The directions and information from the hosts was spot on and there’s a handy information folder too. We met the housekeeper in the morning and she was very friendly and happy, always a good sign imo. We really enjoyed our night in Granny’s Attic and would love to stay again if we are in the area.

Hosts met us at the property and introduced themselves and gave us a very warm welcome. The property was well furnished, lovely, cosy, clean and comfortable. They explained local services and what was available in the village (pubs, shop etc)

Wish we had stayed in one of the cottages as didn’t like going downstairs to the toilet and to have a shower as was cold.

Very clean comfortable and done to a high standard. Had a shower outside with towels for the dog. Had beautiful gardens and courtyard and can imagine beautiful sitting out there in summer.

    Didn’t dislike anything..

Location was brilliant & was very easy to find, nice views with excellent facilities that was spotlessly clean, the accommodation was so cosy with everything you need, even down to the welcoming touches, milk in the fridge etc. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt.

The check out time is a little early, which doesn't bother us too much as we like to be up and out exploring but some may prefer to stay an extra hour for a nice lay-in, especially since the check in isn't until 4pm, 11am would be perfect.

Beautiful room, we were very happily surprised by the facilities, it had everything you need! Everything is very good quality and well thought out! Friendly & helpful host who doesn't intrude but let's you know they are there.

    Nothing

Can’t rate this place highly enough. It has absolutely everything you could need for your stay, All of the facilities are high quality, from the TV and shower, down to the tea and coffee. The owners have put some real thought into every element of this place to ensure it exceeds your expectation’s and have not skimped on anything. Most importantly I was astounded at how clean the apartment was. I am an ex executive head housekeeper who now runs a cleaning business, I am trained to find dirt but I genuinely couldn’t find a spec of dust or dirt in the entire apartment, it was immaculate, almost as if brand new. We stayed in the granny’s attic but the other apartments looked equally as lovely and we will certainly be booking again in future. It is a very picturesque place with lovely grounds and a safe and spacious car park. I would not hesistate to recommend this apartment or any others at cliff house farm. You will be well looked after by the lovely hosts. Oh and to top it all off, there is even a dog shower outside for anyone with pets where they provide dog shampoo and an apron! That sums up just how thoughtful these hosts are.

Nothing to note was just that bit too small for a couple other than for a couple of nights.

Location and setting was great, the apt was very cosy but compact more suited for a single traveller rather than a couple as only one chair to sit on to watch the TV other than the bed which was very low and because of the roof line you had to be careful not to bang your head all the time. As there was no wardrobes and only a chest of drawers the only space to hang long coats, jeans was the chair or stair railing. Not wanting to sound to picky it was a lovely apt ,warm and very modern but too small for more than a couple of nights stay.

Slightly disappointed with no cooker or hob. A 4 night stay was difficult with only a microwave and the toaster always set off the heat detection alarm. And i lost count of how many times i banged my head on the sloping ceilings.

Very comfortable apartment with very comfy bed. Gorgeous village with friendly residents. A nice touch leaving milk in fridge and chocolate biscuits 😋 hosts were very accommodating with the surprise addition of my dog accompanying me.

The fridge was slightly too small to fit food items in as well as milk and drinks.

Lovely quirky cottage, it was spotless and homely. A deep walk-in shower and toilet seperate. Underfloor heating. Very comfy bed and ample storage. The area was very scenic and close to other attractions and beauty spots. Robert was a lovely and welcoming host. Perfect getaway for couples without kids!

Sloped roof above the bed can make it easy to knock your head if you're taller like myself but other apartments available that looked lovely. Little difficult to find but soon figured it out, if using Google maps search for 8 The Cliff, Sleights. The address on booking for some reason would have taken us to Cayton Bay 45 minutes away, but a lovely beach there if you did end up that way.

Tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. Doggy shower outside with plenty of towels and even dog shampoo to use, very nice touch as this trip was based around beachy walks with the dog. Plenty of places to eat nearby, easy to get to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. Massive telly! Fresh milk in the fridge and choco liebniz biscuits which are our favourite.

It was really hot due to being an attic room. No cooking facilities. Good for price though, would be cosy in Winter. No buses after 6pm taxi is £12-14 each way to Whitby centre.
