Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomRoom was beautiful but price felt excessive at 1400 per night vs standard rooms. The balcony is a lovely addition but likely not worth the extra money. The spa was a let down. Pool was small and could have been warmer. Its not a lane pool at that size so it should be warmer. The sauna and steam rooms being in the changing rooms is bonkers. That means you cant do that with a partner. Also the addition of a hot tub would be nice.

The most amazing hotel in London, stayed recently for two nights with my partner for her birthday, from the moment I stepped out my car and was greeted by Steve and Craig our little break had started, they took care of everything for us, I must add there great at there job and real good fun to be around. The Claridge’s team made our stay simply amazing, A big thank you to Tayhab from reception that showed us to our room and topped it off with a complimentary glass of champagne for my partner and I, a true gent. Claudia & Francisco from guest relations thank you for sorting balloons and gifts for my partners birthday and making it so special for her and last but not least Paul that works within the security team it was almost a shame he was at work as I could have spoke to him for hours, he's one of the nicest fellas iv ever spoke with, hope to see you all very soon.
