i knew THE GROSVENOR well many years ago but had not stayed there for many a year. Now having stayed overnight twice I compliment The Grosvenor that its' standard of service overall - staff / rooms/ general comfort and friendliness with courtesy not found so much these days in hotels was a joy to return to. I will be staying with you for one night stays on a very regular basis during my visits to Chester, Thank you it's good to know that such excellence (may I call it 'old fashionned') is still available.

It's a good quality hotel in one of our favourite cities. Nothing to complain about at all.

This is a lovely 5* hotel in the centre of beautiful Chester. We try and visit once a year and this time it was for just one night. The service is top notch. We walked from the car park and our bags were whisked away while we checked in and soon appeared in our room. The room itself was a good size as was the bathroom. There are nice touches like hand (home) made shortbread on the tea tray and fresh milk in the mini bar. The Continental breakfast is good quality if a little limited but you can purchase a cooked option from the menu if that is your preference. We will be back again soon!

Breakfast wasn’t great. We were told we’d get a plate of pastries which never arrived and also mixing fruit juice. Could also do with some comfy seats in lobby to save taking up space in the bar.

Some of the finishing touches in the room were not as high quality, some paintwork a bit shabby the lamp didn't work bathroom ceiling poorly finished. Just minor things really

The staff are outstanding cam not do enough for you from start to finish very friendly and welcoming. This is a high end hotel and they welcome people from all walks of life. We will definitely return

Nothing everything was perfect

We had an amazing stay at the Chester grosvenor hotel. We booked afternoon tea in the brasserie which was exceptional. Our room was beautiful and a lovely anniversary message was left in our room from the staff. The beds were so comfortable, had a great undisturbed sleep too. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff were extremely attentive.

They automatically added gratuities on the bar bill staff are great but should be upto the customer to tip or not

The hotel has no lounge or comfortable area to sit and relax, only the bar and restaurant. The main restaurant is not open at the beginning of the week. Rooms lack charging points for electronic devices. Only a continental breakfast as standard, cooked is a lot extra. This is an expensive hotel a full breakfast should be included.

The location is excellent, the hotel is functional and staffed by excellent and welcoming staff. The parking is simple and convenient.

The bathroom was slightly tired(rusty shower curtain/small bath) & the queue to check out took a little while but nothing major & would 100% return!

Everything about the place is captivating. It’s a very atmospheric hotel, evoking bygone days but at the same time keeping relevant and modern with the facilities. The rooms are spacious and well arranged. We absolutely loved it.
