Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

The room was very spacious and the most comfy bed. The pillows were of high standard. Coffee machine and water are a good bonus.Staff on reception were helpful on arrival and we parked our car overnight which was looked after and safe. Had a swim in the morning. Gorgeous pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Very relaxing place and very close to town centre for shopping and looking at the gorgeous old buildings. Loved every minute and will be back.

United KingdomThe only criticism was the power of the shower in the room, but we also used the spa/pool so showered there, too.
Excellent stay from start to end. The staff were amazing, friendly, and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful and felt really relaxing. The spa/pool was great, too. We had breakfast, which was lovely with a lot to choose from. We had our evening meal there on our last night, and the food was absolutely delicious.

5 min walk from the train station, old school (in a good sense)/classy calm interiors, sincerely welcoming staff (no "trying too hard" to please) and willing to make your stay most enjoyable. The room was spacious, perfectly clean, coffee machine in the room was so right and the best mattress ever slept on. One of the best pornstar martini made at the hotel's bar made an excellent aperitivo time. A special thank you for the lovely greeting card for our anniversary.

TaiwanThe temperature of the fridge in the room seems not low enough to store fruit and yogurt. It’s weird to see this issue at other hotels in England as well.
The location is just right across the station. The building itself is beautiful. The room is spacious enough and clean with everyday welcome snacks and bottle water. The hotel staff are all happy to help!

United KingdomThe shower pressure was a bit low and it would have been nice to have a more high-powered shower in the bathroom. That was the only thing that could have been better. Everything else could not be faulted.
The location was close to all the tourist attractions and the service from the staff was outstanding! We will definitely aim to stay at The Grand next time we are back in York. Staff were so helpful.
