Affordable family break with all essentials required, next to a horse field where the children loved meeting and greeting the horses throughout their stay, golf and spa facilities and breathtaking cliff sea view all within less 5 minutes walking distance.

Unfortunately we didn't sleep until after 2am as others that were staying in another bell tent next to us were noisy and didn't go to bed until 2am.

The tent was lovely, was as described.

    Portaloos did get quite smelly.

Great location, complete with some friendly horses next door. Took a bit of finding initially, as didn't realise Gwens bell tent was the name of the plot. We thought it was the name of the site. Bell tent was well kitted out with all essentials. Gas stove, cooking equipment, cutlery and plate, lighting, seating. Gas BBQ, firepit, toilets, shower and water very close by. Nice short walk to Cape Cornwall, with stunning views of lands end and beyond. Stars at night were amazing, and worth going out to the toilet in the middle of the night.

We were unlucky with the weather overnight, it was very windy, but this is something to be aware of rather than the fault of the hosts. The only other downside was that some of the cutlery etc wasn’t very clean.

The bell tent was large, well equipped and the location was great. We had a walk down to Cape Cornwall and then it was only another short journey into St Just for a takeaway dinner. The air beds were comfortable and the whole place had a good atmosphere with the other people who were staying. The hosts were responsive to messages.

Some basic cleaning items for pans would be helpful.

The location was excellent for walking to Cape Cornwall and the coast path. Also close to St Just for supplies or food. The tent was very comfortable and cosy. Clean and some nice touches. Nice to hear wildlife and sea. Parking easy and suitable for motorcycles if you take a ground plate. BBQ useful and easy to use.

The plates provided were greasy and the bed had lots of hair and bits in it. But other than this we didn’t have any problems.

The tent was very cosy and hospitable even in the torrential weather! We had a great night sleep and made good use of the facilities - camping stove, bbq. A beautiful setting and walking distance from a beautiful bay with a natural sea pool. We loved staying here and would definitely recommend!

It did not affect our stay at all but a couple of the torches needed new batteries for going out to the toilet at night otherwise it was wonderful,

The Bell Tent was very comfortable and the bedding and pillows were very comfy and warm. The facilities of kitchen and chairs in the tent was also so well set up and we had plenty of space for 4 people. The tent was super clean and made for a wonderful nights stay. Superb value for money.

Poor directions to site. Didn't realise it was in a field next to a Wild Camping field. We arrived late. Very dark to see where we needed to be. A wild camper had just arrived and did he could just make out a sign in the corner of the field he was pitched in. We couldn't. Rang number on info. Older female not helpful - dtr runs the site, so why is mother's number on the info. OR, why did mother answer my call when she was unable to help me? Very poor communications/directions.

Uncomfortable air mattress - not pumped up enough

This may be a good affordable option for a family but the information provision let it down. It does not say that you need to bring your own bedding and that there is no refund until after you have paid. I was cycle touring so did not have this. There are a number of different bell tents here advertised under different names but they are all in the same small field. The mattresses are air. The golf club charged me a tenner for a shower but the pool was under a private booking so I was not allowed to use this.

Beds could be pumped up a bit firmer

Excellent overall! A bit tricky to find the location and don’t expect places to be open on Bank Holiday. Kerry was super helpful and ready to suggest ideas to do around the area. The tent was spacious and very clean. First time such travel with our three y.o. And he absolutely loved it!
