It felt like student accommodation hardly a superior room and in need of upgrading Awful noise from industrial flue outside. When we complained it was advised the flues switched off at 9pm when kitchen closed. Toilet cistern kept filling up. Advised just flush again it will stop. Shower needs regrouting black marks Chairs in room not comfortable and lamp had hole in shade

A few things needing fixing, shower door handle loose, toilet flusher kept sticking so water ran and ran Under the bed needed attention, lots of debris /dust as I discovered when I dropped key card Breakfast is just ok, hot items luke warm bacon and sausages undercooked.

Couldn’t park on site, although we did find parking 5 mins walk away. The room was in a different building (not an issue in itself) but the signage was pretty poor so it wasn’t easy to find our room, and no one in that building to help. There was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor near our room too… not sure if this an issue with guests not following rules.

Location excellent for shops, metro and access to A1. Possible to walk into Newcastle and there is a bus stop right outside hotel I was on cheapest rate but room still fine with a bath which is my preference

I was disappointed that neither porridge nor granola were available at breakfast. The hot buffet was underwhelming and not worth the £10 I paid to have it included in my booking. The hotel was clean throughout but looked a bit tired and unloved around the edges. Eg; the lamp in my room looked like it needed replacing.

Very spacious and comfortable room. Great local shopping and eating facilities and very close to the Metro for easy access to the centre of Newcastle. The SOHE restaurant (part of the hotel) was convenient and the food was good.

We could hear the music from the pub next door on the Saturday night but it ended very early so wasn’t too bad. The rooms aren’t very soundproof.

AQs we were there on a walking challenge was only in the hotel for shorter times than i would have liked. Would love to stay again and enjoy hotel and surrounding area at a more lesiurely pace.

Quite a small room but had all amenities... bedside lamp was wobbly and worked half of the time... the shower took so long to heat up we called reception who sent maintenance ... apparently we were at the opposite end of the hotel to the boiler ... took a good 3 or 4 minutes to come through!!

Good location - several bars/other hotels on the same street... on a major bus route so easy to get to the city centre... all was as advertised...

Didn’t expect much for the price, But was pleasantly Surprised, Clean tidy room Nice, decor, comfy bed clean sheets lovely bathroom it’s made clear that they might be a noise issue as there is a bar underneath but we had no noise overall pleasant stay.

Did not know it was two buildings and no lift so it was a pain getting stuff in and out of the car. Thr staff were helpful in giving suggestions and directions but it was still annoying . The shower head was fixed and too close to the wall . Room was very small.

The stairs pose quite a challenge for individuals with mobility problems and carrying heavy load from one level to next.

The room in question was quite large for two adults and a teenager. However, bathroom was not very tidy but did meet the criteria for the price.
