Just the TLC needed on the bedroom furniture and carpets.

Breakfast excellent. On the Sunday we had roast beef and it was delicious! Dining room is lovely. The whole hotel is comfortable and clean but it is looking a little dated in parts - eg some of the carpets look like they could do with replacing and the wardrobe/drawers etc in the bedroom were in need of a bit of TLC. However, clean and very comfortable. Staff really polite and friendly. We've stayed a couple of times now and would stop again. Great location in Beaumaris and despite staying over a bank holiday weekend we managed to get on the hotel car park every evening. Plenty of eating options if you don't want to eat in the hotel too - lovely Italian virtually next door and the Bulls Head opposite are just a couple of options. If the worn carpets and worn furniture in the bedrooms were updated, it would rate as excellent! That said, the feeling of the hotel is that of being "grand" and old-fashioned, so maybe it all fits!

I liked the location and friendliness of the staff. It was a bit old worldly and slightly dated but nonetheless nice. We used the restaurant twice and had two really good meals with nice service. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again especially if we were visiting Ireland again as we used this hotel to visit the local area before catching a ferry from Holyhead. Beaumaris and local area is also worth a tour.

IT IS A VERY COMFORTABLE HOTEL WITH LOVELY FACILITIES. THE LOCATION SUPERB, OUR ROOM LOVELY AND COMFORTABLE AND WE LOVED THE LOUNG AREA AND DININING ROOM IN PARTICULAR. MAYBE NEEDS A BIT OF A REFURB IN PLACES THE STAFF WERE ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL, ALWAYS SMILING AND HELPFUL PARTICULARLY THE WAITING ON STAFF IN DINING ROOM, BAR AND CAFE

The room was tried, no walk in shower and furniture old. Chairs require refurbishing as seat have nearly collapsed. No fridge in room.

The staff need to learn how to smile, the girl in the coffee shop looks so miserable all the time. Bar staff are rather snooty. Rooms are very small and dated staff on reception and at breakfast are nice

My mother had room 102, with large shower and bath - which was great for her 93 years. My room was 115, this also had a bath and shwer that was very small and the lino was a little tired.

Very good breakfast and evening meals, the staff being very friendly and helpful. My 93 year old mother was well looked after, supplying shower room seat for her on request. Location was perfect - especially with the hotel having a lift.

We stayed three nights. On the first full day our room wasnt fully serviced - I'd pulled up the covers on the bed but expected that it would be made. It may have been an oversight as it looked fairly tidy but that was odd. Perfect every other day.

Location, sense of history and heritage, sense that this is a community hotel used by locals as well as visitors, the staff are lovely. Friendly place. We'd been before and returned with family this time
