We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThere’s nowhere comfortable to sit in the evening. There are two sofas in a bedroom upstairs but that’s not a conducive space for chilling out. So not a great place if you need to spend much time indoors. The tv didn’t work. We had to pay for parking in a nearby car park as our car was too big to fit the offered garage and that was a bit of a hassle unloading and loading. The access road says no parking at all times but cars were parked there most of the time so we weren’t sure if we could have parked which would have been much more convenient. Facilities are ok but basic. Kids plastic plates etc are pretty worn and old. Towels are quite hard and scratchy. Seemed expensive for what was provided.

Superb location, easy to park, large and comfy rooms. Great for our group of 5. Good communication from owners and check in/out really easy. Room configuration worked well for us but people should note sofas are upstairs in bedroom rather than downstairs in communal area.

United KingdomDownstairs is a bit small but the large bedrooms meant we socialised upstairs. There was only parking for one car and we were a group of six. We were able to find street parking and left the car there for the duration of our stay so this wasn't an issue for us.
The flat was well equipped, Mas and Tony were quick to communicate with us, beds were comfortable, the upstairs was deceptively spacious and the location was great - it was only a few minutes walk to a grocery store, fish and chip shop, the beach and all that Mersea island has to offer. We had a lovely couple of nights.

It was a really comfortable place and situated in a great place for the beach and harbour. Lovely shower, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen.

United KingdomThe only thing that was missing was an outside space to sit. However, as you're central and the property is inexpensive, it isn't that much of a miss.
The location was good - central. Easy to access the beaches and facilities in the town. The bedrooms are large, well furnished in a tasteful, pleasing way. The atmosphere was good and the house was well cleaned. Very presentable. The owners are friendly, responsive, helpful and caring.

Sadly our stay at Brans Estate West Mersea, didn't meet our expectations given our one night stay cost us £310.38 On the up side, the house is in the perfect location, but that's about it as far as it went. The inside of the house is very shabby looking and whilst we accept it is the end of the season, it is greatly in need of some TLC. General cleanliness is lacking with dust and cobwebs hanging from lights in the bedroom. ( so much so, I was able to write to 'clean me' in the dust) The bed linen in two of the three bedrooms was so crumpled, it was in need of ironing. There was also dust along the bottom of the radiators and thick dust along the top of pictures. I don't think they have seen a duster all season. In the bathroom, the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall, and the door handle was loose . Downstairs there was everdance of water damage on the ceiling in two or three places and flaking plaster between the lounge area and kitchen. It was absolutely filthy around the tap and looked like it had not been cleaned properly for some time. The list could go on. Given the paperwork from them states ' we clean to a per-determed scheme that provides a good level of cleanliness', this definitely is not the case, suffice to say,I would not stay here again and certainly would not recommend it to anyone. See the photos attached. 10/10 for location. 0/10 for cleanliness.

United KingdomHouse is reasonable value and had good shower and plenty hot water etc. but in my view, and apologies, it would benefit from declutter and upgrade to make it more 'neutral'. Couldn't find owners' phone number anywhere. Our bed had plastic sheet, i think, under bottom sheet which made it feel like hospital bed. Crumbs etc. Under chair cushion in lounge. Grey coloured towels are unattractive. 'Stuff' everywhere.
Location good. Plenty of room. Big TV. Garage for bikes etc.
