Breakfast was lovely great location staff were very helpful and chatty. Quite expensive for what it was that was the only down point.

There was a fault with the Wifi and TV reception in my room for 2 of the 3 nights, I stayed. This was compounded by the poor mobile signal which meant I could not use internet or watch TV. All was fine on the 3rd night once the problem was fixed. Breakfast a 9am is a little too late for me. However, I asked for and was provided breakfast at 8:45 on the last morning to help me to catch my train home. I would like breakfast around 8am usually but appreciate it is difficult to get staff in early.

Room was comfortable and suited my needs. A good filling breakfast. Located conveniently close to the city centre.

Ideally situated to explore York..lovely friendly pub and lovely rooms nicely decorated and a lovely comfy bed...quite noisy at night with traffic other than that a very pleasant stay.

Was hoping for a good view but our window looked at a wall, (not the end of the world)also the toilet window was half all clear glass, it was only a small window but had surrounding apartments so felt a little uncomfortable.

It was cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The shower was great. Breakfast was lovely. Everything was there for our short stay.

Room was very dusty and on the last morning we had no hot water and the shower didn’t work. Turned out there boiler had broken down but no partial refund was offered for this inconvenience.

The room was quite cold, but we understand that the weather this week has been chilly. Also the corridors are quite hard to navigate with how tight they are, but you get used to it after a day or so.

The location was fabulous, staff were happy and helpful. The room was a nice size and had everything we needed.

The room was quite cold and the heater didn't work. There was a patch of dampness near the window so that likely contributed.

The room looked very nice, was perfect as somewhere just to lay your head. Separate toilet and shower rooms.

early information might have been clearer that you are directly over a pub. it was fine for me. but other people may not like the ambience. but the rooms were definitely much better than pub rooms

Everything was great apart from the bed size. It was a double and we struggled to move around (only because we have a super kingsize at home) and the only other thing was there was no blind in the toilet, with other windows around, that might be an option. Otherwise great.

It's a cool little bar/hotel in the centre of York. Perfect quirky little bar. Will definitely be revisting.

Bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked, but then I'm just being picky.

The staff were excellent and very welcoming. Breakfast was superb and set you up for a day of sightseeing. Both the room and bathroon were a good size, and the shower was very good, both hot and powerful. Wifi was very good as well.

There was a band on the Friday night with our room being directly above it, so pretty loud.. but decent music and they finished by 11. If we'd not been full of cold we'd have gone downstairs and joined in. Would just have been nice to have been given a heads up before arrival
