Small rooms No management on site on Saturday morning until 12.00 to sort out a strange charge on my account. We sorted it in the end. System for booking into the hotel car park made the customer responsible for logging in the car number

The towels, bed sheets and wall were dirty. The wall was like something had been spilt/leaking down it. The room was also very hot and only a small window was allowed to be opened. Also I requested an iron and board to be told that they are going to struggle as they are in rooms... After a wait, I did get an iron with no board which I then had to request. However grateful I had this, as it was important to iron work shirts.

Bed and pillows were comfy. Staff were friendly at breakfast and on arrival.

Unusually room maintenance below par - shower valve needed replacing, light over sink and extractor fans both not working.

Stay here regularly and always made welcome. Great Breakfast.

Very poor cleaning standard epically in Bathroom walls tiles not cleaned and clumps of hair in Bath, very disappointed at this cleaning standard I have never seen this anywhere

It felt quite tired, there was work on front of building do you had to enter via bar area. Outside on the walk in was covered in bird poo, so it doesn’t give best impression.

Asked for quiet room. Given room adjacent main road and directly over entrance! No air con so room became warm but couldn’t open window for noise.

Friendly staff, 24 hour desk , clean rooms but dated , however they have started refurb, room has usual kettle and tea /coffee and nice quality soap / shampoo, location is great and easy walk to Altrincham town centre , good base to get to airport too as tram has direct route

Room & especially bathroom looked a little tired as does the building exterior, but clearly work ongoing in the hotel to improve.

breakfast was good. Well cooked and good tasting cooked food, better than normal offering of pastries, fruits etc Rooms & bed was generally good. One of the nicest hotel beds (with firm pillows :-) ) I have slept in for some time.

shower pressure was low.

everything was great, except for the shower pressure. also, i stayed for 2 nights but my room card was only programmed for 1 night. i had to go to reception to get it authorised again which was a pain. should get this right at check-in.

You have to sign in to park. No 0ne told me so I got a ticket which is currently being disputed. This sort of hassle is completely unnecessary

Car park indicated that all drivers should pay before parking car ! There was no indication that hotel residents may already have paid for parking! Not possible to get a refund !

Dingy decor, elderly fixtures and fittings make a lot of noise, e.g. heating, bathroom fan etc. carpet ripped and stained.

The service was poor. The third bed was not made up on arrival - had to go down and ask for the room to be prepared. There was only one bath towel for 3 adults. Not enough mugs for the number of guests. On check out we were not asked if we were happy with our stay
