How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was in the small side but would just book a larger room next time . It wouldn't stop me from staying again.
Great location, accommodation was clean - liked the little extras in the room. Host was friendly and helpful. Would stay again.

The rooms were very clean and well stocked, bed was really comfy as well. The host was really friendly and made us feel really welcome. A nice touch was that welcome booklets are provided in the rooms which gives all information needed as well as recommendations for cafes in the area.

Nothing not to like.
A very clean and friendly property, the rooms were bright and modern, USB chargers in room, a tea tray meant to last 24 hours not 2 drinks. Excellent property.

One of the best accommodations I've stayed in Blackpool. Bed was super comfortable and room was very clean. Would definitely stay again 100% staff amazing and super friendly

It was great
We had the basement king room was fantastic. The bed was really comfortable. We also had another 2 rooms and our friends said exactly the same it was nipping clean and beds comfortable. I would most definitely stay here again. Thankyou fir a great stay.

Only problem for me was the stairs. Ne, t time I'll book for a room lower down.
Was a little bit cold on the first night, staff were happy to sort it out. As I'm a tea fiend, they kept me supplied with milk and tea bags. I'll definitely book here again when in Blackpool.

What a great little place to stay. We were welcomed by Ann Marie the hse keeper who showed us tp our room. The room was very clean, bright. The welcome booklet was an added bonus with lots of local information on places we were able to take our dog. Bars restaurants and the sea front all within 5 min walk. We would defo recommend Bella visita and will return when back in Blackpool.

The en-suite was very cold, especially the floor, make sure you wear socks when going in.
Lovely room, perfect size for us, very comfy bed, the tea and coffee station was a lovely addition. Couldn’t hear any traffic outside the property, only heard other guests a handful of times. The lady who greeted us at check in was lovely, making sure that the heating was on in our room before we arrived.

Small room, probably could have done with a bit of updating in the room we stayed in. Shower was a bit dirty looking around the edges. Tv in a bit of an awkward position on wall if trying to watch it from the left side of bed as the wall is in the way. Steps a bit steep on entrance (had disabled mother in law with me) she struggled to get up them. Only saw 2 staff members over the 3 days we was there.
Location was good, close to where we needed to go. Shower in room was good just a bit grubby around the edges.

I wish I could of stayed longer.
I liked that the hosts Paul and Rob were very warming and helpful. Nothing was too much, which made you feel very welcomed. WiFi available and the breakfast in bed was great. My son enjoyed the complimentary snacks. The location is central to everything. We mustn't forget Benji the dog, my son loved him. Thank you guys for a brill stay. See you all next time.
