Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesAt little to small for 4 large adults.
Love that it was a different experience than a regular hotel. It is right where we wanted to be down by the Titanic. The host was very informative.

The location was wonderful - a stone's throw from the W5, the Titanic museum and hotel, all of which we visited. Very close to a well stocked and welcoming Spar supermarket.

United KingdomIt accommodated 3 adults well, although I did decide against sleeping in the top bunk, struggled to get up there and back down again and very cramped. Happy to sleep on the large sofa which was comfortable and it worked well this way as everyone got their own space in the evening. We are not tech savvy and struggled with the TV. Some areas looked tired and not like the photographs, the outside area needed a freshen up and also showing some general wear and tear inside e.g blinds broken. It was not dirty, but it was a little tired in some places. I think another review said a 'Spring Clean' would be beneficial and I would agree.
The location was amazing with fantastic views. Loved the marina. Short walk to large Spar shop for breakfast supplies etc. Good location for Titanic museum, City Centre, arena etc. Good, clear instructions from our hosts regarding accessing the marina and the barge. The area felt safe and it was quiet during our stay. The accommodation was warm, comfortable and we all slept well. Shower was surprisingly good and hot. We had everything we needed for our stay to be comfortable, except a hair dryer (we just assumed there would be one. Didn't use any cooking facilities so unable to comment on these.

Such an unique experience with family staying on a boat rather than typical hotel experience. Location and views were 5 stars. Had all the necessary equipment to make our stay comfortable and was very near Belfast attractions. Boat owner was very helpful.

IrelandMore suited to two adults and two children. We were four adults and found the bunk beds a bit uncomfortable. Duvet covers, pillow cases and towels could do with a refresh.
Loved the concept. Very unique and peaceful. Good location. Has everything you need for a short stay. Host was very helpful before we arrived with plenty of details.

United KingdomTo fault anything would be nit picking. Hosts answered messages quickly and helped us with places to store luggage in the city centre after checking out.
The location is perfect. Walking distance to the Titanic museum. Quirky and cosy barge. Entrance to marina is by locked electronic gate. 3 minute walk to shops for essentials. 3 minute walk to the Holiday Inn, which has a stop for the open top bus tour. Buy the tickets to save on travel to different areas. Buses are every 30 minutes. The beds were amazingly comfy. Slept like a baby. Heat through out was brilliant.

The view, the location and the projecter was a big hit with the children. Something different !

IrelandVery little, it’s a shared barge- 2 separate apartments so when our “neighbours” were noisy at 1am I was a little worried but it was only for a little while, otherwise perfect.
Unique experience, excellent location, kids loved staying in bunk beds on barge.

LatviaNothing not to like. All well thought-through. But worth noting that the kitchen-galley is a tight fit, with a fridge the size of a mini-bar. Good for making coffee and tea, but not for any serious cooking.
My son and I stayed on the barge because it sounded unusual, a change from a regular hotel room and because we were planning to visit the Titanic Museum nearby. The location was perfect, and the barge was wonderfully quiet. Perhaps because of the quiet, and perhaps because of the feeling of being on the water, we slept soundly. Definitely recommended, especially if you (like me) generally stay in very standard hotel rooms, and want to try something a bit different.

United KingdomThe patio is very small in Wolff, as is the wash-hand basin, and we had a slight toilet issue, but we are used to boats and campervans, so we know that these things can occasionally happen. The host was always available on the phone and happy to assist and advise.
The barge is perfectly located about 5 minutes walk from the Titanic exhibition, which was one of the main purposes of our trip. It is also a stone’s throw from Belfast City Airport which is really handy. Wolff berth was very clean and well-appointed. We had most things you’d except in a boat kitchenette; small kettle and fridge, crockery and cutlery, glasses and mugs. Wolff berth also has two good sized bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 4 people. The shower is a good size and is powerful enough. The views are lovely, and the marina facilities (large shower/toilet wet room) are also great if you prefer to use them.

United KingdomThe outside was unusable as the seating was covered in green mould and decking was slippery. Their was not a lot of storage areas for a suitcase as the rooms are smaller than we thought, and what storage areas there are have been filled with paint tins and oars for a deflated dingy. The towels were kept in such a cupboard and none matched and were different sizes and shapes. Nothing a good clean and tidy up would sort. The Barge at Titanic would be not suitable foe people with mobility issues as the double bed in the Harland apartment is reachable via a ladder and a top bunk accessible by climbing up the furniture, and the steps from the kitchen to bedrooms and living room are steep and narrow.
We all loved the quirkiness of the Barge and its location. The living room was a great size for 4 people to enjoy a morning coffee or relax after a days shopping. Also the shower was a lot bigger than expected with instant hot water. Owners were very quick to reply to our questions. We only made a tea/coffee and could do with a small microwave.

United KingdomThe bathroom is very cramped, however the shower in comparison was a good size. Would be nice if they provided hand soap. There are small patches of damp mold on the ceiling in the smaller bedroom and bathroom, due to poor ventilation. The mold can be cleaned away quite easily with a damp cloth, but needs to be addressed for health reasons. The fridge could be bigger.
Fantastic location, shops and cafe's close by (Spar is excellent), walking distance to the Titanic museum. About 15/20 minute walk into the centre of Belfast which is pleasant along the waterfront. The Barge itself was lovely, felt cosy, beautifully decorated and thought through - had enough amenities for our use. The gentle swaying of the barge was relaxing and the views of the waterfront were stunning. As the marina was a locked area there weren't loads of passers by.
