The cafe next door should never be recommended. Atrocious quality and service. The toilets do not flush well

-Toilet, sink and shower very slow to flush/drain. -We needed to ask on several occasions for toilet rolls as these were not being restocked. -Paid a deposit for gym wristbands, and when we returned the wristbands the person at the gym desk was unable to return our deposit there and then which was disappointing.

-Excellent hotel staff, very friendly and helpful. For instance, helped us get a second chair in the room and were happy to print out a couple of pages for us.

I booked this for my parents and they were not able to eat at the restaurant. They asked the staff when the restaurant opened, however they were not given clear opening times so they decided to check for themselves but by the time they eventually got there it was closed - what a shame! I just wish there was clearer communication, it would have saved my parents time looking for a meal somewhere else and would have allowed them to spend more time together…

Very clean hotel and great to have parking, ideal location. Good idea to have spa included too.

Went for breakfast in the health club. Staff not very friendly Breakfast was cold Had to wait 20 mins to order, then 20 mins for it to arrive

Unfortunately it wasn't till the morning I noticed the bedside table had a very sticky substance on it and hadn't been cleaned. My phone case was covered. But this was the only downside. If it hadn't been there I would have given straight 10s.

The bed was comfortable and huge. The room was spacious. Lovely toiletries and plenty of them. The walk-in shower was a bonus..no stepping into a narrow bath for a shower. Lots of space to put things. Large towels and plenty of them. Will revisit if ever in the area.

Cost of swimsuits, we couldn’t justify the cost for us to be able to use to the spa so sadly had to pass up the opportunity. It would have made our stay 10/10 but to pay £50 for a swimsuit I’d use once was out of the question.

Easy to find and close to local amenities/transport links. As this was a spur of the moment booking we didn’t pack for the spa sadly so were unable to make full use of the facilities during our stay.

Took ages to get checked in with no update as to what was happening - we were quite early but it would have helped to be kept informed. The toilet broke and took our entire stay to get fixed - yes it was over a weekend but this is still not good

The shower in Room 47 was not free draining.

Since staying a month previous, the 'snags' experienced previously had been fixed. There was one issue, which one of the guests noticed in that the shower was not draining away freely. Staff were very friendly and helpful/interested in the well-being of the guests.

Hotel is well placed to visit the whole area, near the motorway but not noisy. The Health spa sells Starbucks, breakfast and other food items. Room has tea and coffee facilities and hotel has a bar in reception. Staff are friendly and very helpful, great value for money.
