In a room near Bar area, so view was of small quadrant with beers barrels. Lights on it all night which the curtains didnt shut out.

Stayed here before,no problems,this time the whole room was dusty,not just a little dust quiet alot,contacted reception they gave me another room to try,that was just as bad,they did apologise to me and said they would sort it,They did sort it out when we went out but it should have been right in the first place

the breakfast was very good with a choice of cereal and a full cooked breakfast plus a choice fruit etc. bed excellent towels changed as you required and room was reasonably quiet but very comfortable whilst en suite was really clean

NO WIFI in our room. Unfortunatly there was a damp smell in the bathroom and damage to bath. A few of the curtain rings were detatched, making them look a little untidy.

Room looked lovely, good size, nice furniture and colours. Trouser press, iron and hairdryer in wardrobe.

After mentioning to the staff that we wished for a room relocation due to being next to the kitchen, we were moved without a problem.Breakfast was good - try and time it so that you get there when each hit item is replenished.

Our room (room 8) was really tired. Bathroom was really the worst part. Black mouldy sealant all round the bathroom. Looked grubby. Aparently it was a jet bath but I'd never have bathed in that. Also huge water stain on the ceiling where upstairs had leaked through. Bed comfy enough but the worst throw pillows that really cheapen the place. Lights in room were so poor. But... The bathroom lights were awesome. Walking through the outside hall was the noisiest experience and really needs addressed. Staff walked RIGHT past our window.... and looked in.

Just a small thing the pillows were very uncomfortable.

Staff were all very pleasant. Simon and another lady sorry did not get her name where very good and Simon made sure my husband got his decafe coffee on the morning nothing was any trouble.

There was no WiFi as promised in the annex where we stayed. I called the reception and was not offered any support. All I was told that I should try again but after 10 attempts I gave up. The following day I mentioned it at reception but just got the cold shoulder and an apology was given with a comment that they would report it. No real concern was shown.

The room appeared quite dated. There was paint pealing off the ceiling, the wallpaper ripped in places and the bedroom door rattled whenever someone entered or exited the building.

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We had drinks in the bar, where staff also seemed pleasant and the drinks were reasonably priced.

A few issues with maintenance, the windows in one of our rooms didn't seal properly when closed so the traffic noise from the road was quite loud. Soap dispenser had not been changed for a long time as it was going mouldy, both teaspoons provided for tea/coffee had not been replaced with clean ones and were coated in congealed hot chocolate. Breakfast was poor as the food was kept warm in some sort of steamer, consequently all the eggs were hard, the hash browns were soggy and falling apart so not the best sadly.

Good location, parking, room size and facilities. Staff friendly and helpful. Great bar and restaurant. Generally very quiet especially if staying at the rear of the Priory where we stayed.

The decor looked a little tired and the carpets were also a little too worse for wear than we were expecting, but we appreciate times are difficult.

The bedding was fresh and clean and the room was small but reasonably comfortable for a one night stopover. The evening meal was delicious and breakfast was really good, with plenty of choice and availability at the self service buffet. Staff were helpful and friendly.
