How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It was further away from Poole Quay than we thought it was but we drove and parked easily. No complaints at all, keys were easy to find, lift was secure and worked well, secuity for whole property was superb.
The Property was spotless, very comfortable and plenty of room. It was well equipped and handy for lots of places. The parking was easy and everything was exceptionally secure. There was very little noise. I will probably use Aurora again.

Leaving 😞
The location was great as it is close to buses to both Poole and Bournemouth and a co-op less than 1 minute walk for us to get things. This was originally chosen as the property has a bath and my son can't manage showers. He loved the bath and the balcony too. He didn't want to go home.

unfortunately the lift didn’t work most of our stay this was out of the hosts control but there was stairs and luckily we were on first floor
great kitchen facilities key code was very simple too use

Absolutely not the fault of the owners, but a malfunctioning front door lock meant we couldn't access the apartment on the afternoon of our second day. Owners organised an emergency locksmith and all was dealt with as promptly as possible, but it did mean we lost a chunk of our afternoon waiting to get back in.
The apartment was clean, bright and beautifully furnished. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms perfect - roomy and stylish, with complimentary toiletries. Situated in a quiet and attractive area, the apartment has pleasant views from the lounge windows, and a small balcony, which would be ideal in warm weather. The owners respoinded promptly to all queries following our initial contact and booking.

Very modern, clean and well equipped. Easy parking in the underground car park. Buses close by and good view’s across the bay from just down the road. Shops also close by. Nice easy stay.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Aurora Ashley Cross. Everything was exactly as pictured. The accommodation was bright, warm, and exceptionally clean. The messages we received from the host helped to make our stay easy and enjoyable.

Can't think of anything which could be improved on.
Lovely, exceptionally clean apartment with on site parking. One of the best we have rented. All the facilities were first class. Great location.

Nothing could of been improved
Absolutely amazing apartment for our holiday, first impression pulling up to the drive of the location you know you haven’t arrived at just a normal place to stay. Secure underground parking. Lift up to you floor then right into your luxury stay. This place literally had it all from the design to all the utilities and luxuries. Definitely would recommend if you feel like hotel rooms aren’t luxurious enough for you. The host couldn’t do more than enough and ensured we had everything we needed and more. 5* living for either work or holidays you won’t regret it.

If I was being very very picky we like it black dark when sleeping so some heavier blackout curtains would be the only thing, but that’s just our personal preference.
It was lovely nd much better than expected. There were lots of little touches from the host that you don’t get usually, drink in the fridge, cereals, snacks, teas and coffee’s so really outstanding. It was very quiet too which made it very relaxing and all with off street parking in the underground garage.

Perhaps black out blinds in the bedrooms would have been nice but overall the apartment was excellent.
Lovely clean apartment. Very modern and comfortable and the owner had given much thought to include little extras like wine/water in fridge, tray of tea, coffee etc in kitchen and handy assortment of extras in the bathroom. As it was a new apartment the heating, televisions, kitchen equipment etc were all excellent. Fantastic spot!

Nothing - the property is fine
Property is clean and modern. Well furnished and I’m ideal location to explore Poole and Bournemouth. Poole Quay or Bournemouth can be reached within 15 mins. There is easy access to a local coop, 5 mins walk and some nice places to eat. Isan Thai is a favourite of ours.

We were delighted to spend our vacation in this beautiful apartment. It had a modern and cozy design, fresh renovation, parking space, a scenic view of nature from the window, comfortable beds, and thoughtful little gifts. Every detail reflected the host's attention and care. It is a 5 mins drive to Poole Quay. We will definitely recommend this apartment to our friends for their vacation. Thank you so much!
