The plug hole in the bathroom of room six could have been cleaner. Our room wasn’t serviced during our stay, as we were only there for two nights, though we did have the option of requesting servicing. Maybe the mugs could have been changed.

The breakfast was substantial with a good mixture of cold buffet and hot food cooked to order. A vegetarian option could have been offered. Possibly cereals in large containers rather than the individual boxes might be more economical.

Room was OK, could hear other guests in the room next door; paper line walls. A suggestion would be to update the bathrooms, as they are very dated.

Location was good, good choice of breakfast, but you do have to pay extra for that on arrival. Friendly and helpful staff.

Advertised as having WiFi but that was only in the main building not the bedrooms. Walls were very thin between rooms.

There was nothing I didn’t like

The staff there were amazing. So friendly and welcoming. It was easy to find and parking is available. I had one of the best cooked breakfasts there and would definitely stay there again.

Bedside light unserviceable, suspect bulb, no attempt to resolve.

As expected. Reasonable room, odd sliding barn door into en-suite - saves space. Not much space but sufficient for an overnight stay. Useful restaurant & bar.

Bearing in mind it's currently winter it would be really helpful if they provided a heating option for the hours that they switch the heating off in the rooms.

I didn't have breakfast. The evening meal was lovely although quite expensive for what there was. The staff were very friendly.

Asked for a ground floor room - but we were given a 1st floor room. Evidently there seems to be a communication problem between booking.com and the hotel. Some updating of room would be good but this is an older property and a bit of tolerance should be given. Next to a road so traffic noise in the morning. No problems during the night and we slept well

Breakfast/dinner cooked to order and quality excellent. Staff/management excellent and attempted to make our stay enjoyable. A family run hotel that wants you to return. Special thanks to Matthew, his sister and the lovely young lady at Reception - she was the “Jill of all trades’

Whilst at dinner I observed a staff member handling food without washing his hands before or after also taking chips from customers plates before service and eating them . It made me wonder who had the hygiene qualification as it was the owner and waiter doing everything

If you’re looking for extremely modern and chain like hotels don’t come here. Quirky and quaint but maybe not to everyone’s taste.

Family run, very clean, cosy establishment in good location, easy to find, very friendly and efficient staff, good, well cooked, hot food. Reliable Wi-Fi, well stocked bar, offers value for money. We had a large comfortable room, comfy bed, nice bedding, good selection of channels on TV, trouser press, hairdryer, plenty of storage and free parking. Also a lovely garden behind hotel. Could this hotel benefit from some updating ? Yes, but it suited us 100% and no complaints.

Bathroom could do with some renovation. Taps looking old and broken and grout looks dirty.

Staff were really friendly and welcoming, room was clean and radiator was warming the room nicely. Bubble bath, shampoo and shower gel all provided, and bath was nice and hot.

Room door was not easy to open. It needs maintenance.Also, the walls behind the bedside was not cleaned enough.

I liked the customer service, friendly staff, convenient location, all the facilities, especially the car parking, and the easy check-in and check-out process.
