Spotless and spacious

Wonderful modern, clean, well equipped apartment in a very quiet area near all the amenities, with lovely views of the sea. The host Neil was very quick to reply with any queries and was a hub of information if needed. We stayed at Anchors Away for my husband's special birthday, and the guest information Neil includes with your booking gave me ideas for restaurants and nearby pubs to visit. We met up with friends and family to surprise him, so I recommend Lychees a five minute walk from the apartment and then a little jaunt to The Brig to a welcoming pub with amazing staff and Karaoke. I decided I wasn't going to cook, but there were plenty of utensils and a huge dining table if I did, we walked along the front to blow away the cobwebs and up to the Gaiety Theatre to the Stage Door cafe for an amazing breakfast. To the Guinness drinker, my husband highly recommends Smiths Bar, where we had a lovely lunch. We went to Girvin for the day and walked along the harbour and visited all the little friendly shops and had a lovely meal in Malys cafe 😋, will definitely visit again but might try Neil's other Apartment for a change called the Anchors Rest. To end this 5* review highly recommend.

The flat was warm and really comfortable with everything we needed and more. I was travelling with my elderly aunt who has mobility issues. I wanted to particularly thank Neil for his thoughtfulness and hospitality. He was very helpful in describing the property before I booked, in meeting us on arrival and in accommodating our needs. His kindness made all the difference to our stay.

Lovely clean and comfortable apartment, we had an excellent stay. Host was very responsive and super helpful - our train was cancelled due to closures at Ayr station and he looked up alternative routes etc for us!

Good location, walking distance to beach, shops and eateries. Fresh decoration, comfortable, clean , warm, good kitchen facilities. Recommend Mulligans for family eating, quality pub grub and good service.

The only very small downside was that the Nespresso coffee maker was needing descaled. When notified, the host was very apologetic and was going to rectify the problem.

The property was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It was fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location was quiet & peaceful & also so handy for both beach & town. The host kept in touch with me beforehand and provided lots of information about the property, the area & things to do in the surrounding area.

Plenty of space for two couples, and location ideal for our reason to visit Ayr. Wifi and Smart tvs also a bonus - Nice touch to have Netflix account available, although we didn’t use.

The apartment was well appointed and very clean. There were lots of places to eat within walking distance. The beach is on the doorstep and we found the area around the apartment very clean and tidy. It was easy to find a car parking space close by.

Apartment is beautiful and well equipped with everything we needed and more. . The added extras like the coffee machine, brolly, board games and chess gave the accommodation that extra luxury touch. Neil the host was absolutely spot on and really helpful prior to check in with an extra late request,, replying swiftly with no issue. Check in instructions very detailed. Would 100% recommend if your lucky to get booked to not hesitate to stay here.
