The room I stayed in was in the basement, and smelled damp, I did not know the room is in the basement from the booking confirmation.

The location is great, common areas are very good.

Room , phone operated door lock

Dispute being told , on enquiring our room would be wheelchair accessible, the property was not and no mention of this. We had to struggle getting my motorised chair up a steep set of steps to front door of hotel. We are elderly and found it a big struggle doing this once or twice a day. I would have thought it should have been pointed out. The facilities inside were ideal but phone operated door opening and closing a bit confusing and difficult to use.

The mattress was in really bad condition, the right hand side of the bed mattress as a couple of broken Springs.

Having to open the lock with a phone is a bit nerve-wracking when your phone doesn't hold charge for a whole day...

The facilities were fairly clean. We really liked the coffee machine in the common rooms.

Unlocking the door without wifi was a bit of a pain (fortunately I found a hot spot). Was told I could phone if needed.

Nobody from the cleaning team entered the room the whole week. The door keys (password and application) are most of the time annoying.

Great location - Haymarket Station allows all the trips around the city and the tram makes easy access to Pricess Street, or to the Airport. The room is decent with all the needed amenities. The two living rooms are great for having a cup of coffee or tea.

Lack of reception desk/staff. Locks linked to an email/app which is dependent on phone battery/internet connection strength. Room was overpriced for its very small size. Poor WiFi connectivity in the hotel.

The room was clean, free tea and coffee provided both in the room and in the communal areas. Hairdryer and iron available for use. Extremely convenient location for Haymarket train station and walking distance to Princes St.

The main gate did not open without access to a smartphone, so when my phone died one evening, I could not get into the building and had to ask for a stranger to let me borrow their phone to call the helpline stated on the door. Ringing the bell did not work.

Lovely location and view from my room was great. Clean and nice smelling shared spaces.

there was no staff around which was confusing a bit, i had trouble with the lock codes at the beginning and no one to ask. and I was not sure if there was wifi or not again no one to ask

Clearer on how to lock door. The sign was no where near the door, on the fireplace so needed to contact customer service to find out how to lock

You enter the rooms with a virtual key. It's a bit tricky at the beginning. So not for everyone. The bathroom was very small.

Nice hotel, there is no reception. You have to check in alone, online. There is free coffee for averone.

Good stay. My phone battery gave up but couldn't raise anyone to enter. In the end went to Starbucks to charge phone

Having to work out how to get into the hotel and the room via the internet, no staff on hand to help.

This was just a room, with no "meal deal". I thought it was self catering, and that I would have facilities in my room so I could cook, but all I had was a kettle and some cutlery. I did find an area elsewhere in the property which had a toaster, but couldn't find anything else. There are no staff at this hotel.

The vikey device (door key) showed low battery at night and was beeping constantly. Called to the customer service was asked to unscrew the device and change the battery ourselves, if not will have to let it bleep until it gets fixed the next day.

Good location, close to public transport, convenient store and shops. Walkable distance to the city. Clean and tidy room.

Heard some strange noise over a wall - as there is no reception, there was no one to deal with it (no reaction on my e-mail). The room was pretty basic and not worth the price, but it was last weekend of the Fringe festival, so all Edinburgh was overbooked...

Room was small but honestly it's just a place to sleep.

Great location, tram stop just outside the hotel. Took me a bit to figure out how to open the door to the room, but other than that very easy to check in online.
