How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Being very picky but the parking was not great however there is a car park which is cheap around the corner
Very clean and close to all amenities the owners where amazing nothing was any trouble … 5 star breakfast will definitely stay again

It was great
The staff were excellent and were great with my son and pregnant partner. It is very accessible and the breakfast was incredible. I'd book again without hesitation

steve and amanda where brilliant from start to finish nothing phased them even our late arrival (due to transport issues) check in was smooth after a warm welcome from the owners the whole hotel was spotless would give them 10/10 will deffo be visiting again on my next trip to blackpool

Nothing to dislike. Just a suggestion of maybe some high chairs for younger children
Fantastic hosts, nothing was too big or small an issue. Location is excellent, right in the middle of the strip. Family room for 4 (2 adults and 2 children under 10) was spacious and comfy. Breakfast was great, plenty to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.

Amanda and Steve was so welcoming and accommodating during our stay. Very chatty and friendly! Room was exactly like the photos, good size room, powerful shower, great bed and very clean. Breakfast was lovely and great quality Will definitely be recommending to anyone travelling to the area and will be returning ourselves

The only down side was our room was a small double but that was our fault leaving it so late to book. We did see other double rooms which were much larger so will know to book more in advance next time
Property was spotless and hosts very friendly. Location was also excellent.

Absolutely nothing
The breakfast was excellent. Amanda and Steve made my daughter and I feel so very welcome. They asked us about our nights planned and the attractions of Blackpool booked. Nothing was too much trouble. This is the 2nd time we've visited and we've booked again very soon

Not applicable everything was perfect.
Excellent location , owners Amanda & Steve were lovely and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. The room was lovely, nice comfy bed. Breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for the day. Will definitely stay here again. Car park in the next street was reasonably priced for 24 hours.

i cant think of a single thing we didnt like about this guest house
this has to be the best guest house we have ever stayed in,we had to find somewhere quick for one night as the hotel we was staying in meant for 4 nighta was so filthy we could not be there another night so we found this bnb and we are so happy we did,the owners couldnt do more for you and nothing was to much for them to do for you,they interact with you and have a right good laugh,the breakfast included in the price is so clean and all very fresh with a small selection of cereals and juice to help yourself to, we are definatly coming back here and if i could give this a rating it was be an easy 20 out of 10 😄honestly its that good and great value for money such lovely owners please never change !many thanks lee and donna

I couldn’t of asked for better, Amanda and Steve was so welcoming, helped with our cases and gave us the inns and out of everything. Breakfast was cracking and they even went out their way to make our little girls bed extra comfortable :) 10 out of 10

Couldn't fault it, Great Value and would definitely go back! Great Location also.
Hosts were Friendly and room was Spotless. Bed was very comfortable and had a great night's sleep. We enjoyed Our Breakfast in the morning and the hosts made us feel very welcome.

There was nothing to dislike.
The owners (Amanda & Steve) were very welcoming and even helped us upstairs with our luggage. They were very helpful giving us advice regarding booking tickets and passing on recommendations from previous guests. We were given the option to park our car in a secure car park which was owned by another Guest House which was a big help as parking is very limited on the streets nearby. The breakfast was delicious. The whole of the property was immaculate and very well maintained. We will definitely be returning.
