However, the room was located very far away and taking several stairs it was hard to get to room because we were packed with a lot of suitcases, wasn’t very comfortable.

The property is very well located and there are everything nearby. The room was ok, as well as the mattress and pillows.

For us the bed was incredibly firm, like really firm, no give at all. The venetian blind on the window wouldn't open or close fully, providing minimal privacy, this was important as there was a lane right outside the window (we were in the basement) with people walking past, stopping outside the window, we did manage to hook up a blanket from the bed over the window which solved this problem but then of course we had no window or natural light. No kettle in the room which was fine as facilities were available on the floor above, unfortunately the coffee/tea machine had no water in it in the evening nor again this morning, there was no sink/tap to fill it? Shame as the staff in the bar/reception next door were super friendly, the hotel was very clean and great location

Very minor issue - the whb was a bit near the mirror which made washing your face a bit challenging.

Excellent location, room and en suite bathroom were really spacious, and the room was very comfortable. The little lounge with tea and coffee facilities was a nice surprise, and meant we could enjoy a cuppa away from the room itself. We were really surprised that our room was down in the basement but it proved to be a bonus, as it was so quiet and nicely heated.

There is a lot of stairs down to the rooms and no lifts, I am disabled so I did struggle going up and down.

The bathroom was clean, but there was this lingering smell of mould in there which wouldn't go away, perhaps due to lack of ventilation. A minor point as well was that the kitchen was lacking a chef, but there are decent options for breakfast nearby

Very central location and helpful staff. Straightforward check-in and checkout. Even if it's located in the heart of Aberdeen's nightlife, we couldn't hear much noise coming from the bars and clubs over the weekend. Good value for money

Room was on lower level - not quite below ground but close. Sound proofing wasn't great as it sounded like a mob of kangaroos were bouncing about above us but luckily they went out and we were asleep when they returned.

The stairs was a challenge as one of the group was struggling due to her arthritis trying to go up and down cud be done with a lift. Plus didn't like the guy at the bar was a bit rude when we arrived for booking in
