The radiator in the living room was rather tempermental and we were a little chilly sometimes when we couldn't get it to heat up..

The cottage was in a good location. It was very clean and comfortable with everything you might need.

Quiet, cosy little cottage amongst a bank of similar cottages, adjacent to a good country pub.

Nothing to dislike, but you will need to take towels and may need a torch, or use of a mobile phone torch on winter if arriving after dark. Street lighting is limited as you would expect in a rural location.

Good location near Wadebridge, and very close to excellent pub serving good food and drink. Cosy cottage with nice view from bedroom. Easy parking. Within easy drive of various locations.

This property would have been perfect if it weren't for the lack of facilities; there is no WiFi, little loo roll, and no tea/coffee/cooking essentials provided - cupboards are completely bare so be prepared to do a massive shop if you need salt, pepper, cooking oil etc.

Great location; 30 min walk into Wadebridge, a 10 min walk to a large supermarket, next door to a pub and near the peace and quiet of the Camel trail.

I have thought a lot before posting this review. Ultimately I decided it is necessary as guests receive NO prior warning of the following issues. 1. LOCATION. The cottage is hard to find. It is set well back from the road, it is not visible from the road and there is no sign to guide you. Instead it is entirely concealed within a courtyard and is accessed through a BARN DOOR (see uploaded photo) which bears NO SIGN telling you that the cottage lies within – along with 19 more terraced cottages. Why can't the agent be honest in their listing and simply tell guests, “The cottage is in the hamlet of Edmonton, immediately behind The Quarryman pub, accessed through a large, grey, barn door to the left hand side of the pub.” It's that simple. How do you expect guests to know that they must wander through an unmarked BARN DOOR in search of their cottage? 2. PARKING. The walk from the car park to the cottage is around 100 metres. You cannot park your car near the cottage. You are not told this important information before you arrive. 3.ARRIVING AT NIGHT. Bring a torch. If you arrive at night the area inside the barn door is not lit. The courtyard is paved with slate flagstones which are slippery if wet. I slipped twice. In addition, there are 2 steps to climb, and there are potted plants for you to stumble across. The entrance to the cottage is in total darkness at night, making the numbers on the key safe utterly invisible, as will be the keyhole in the door. 4. UNPLEASANT WELCOME. Once inside the cottage you find, on the table in front of you, a sheet of paper with unfriendly and unpleasant warnings about COVID and the “extremely limited health care facilities” in Cornwall. (See uploaded photo). Then you are drilled about cleaning up after yourself, emptying the bins and stripping your beds before you leave. Then you are threatened with possible extra charges should you not strip your bed!

It was winter so we had the place to ourselves most of the time.
