Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

LatviaDouble bed was very small. Two adults couldnt sleep there comfortably, felt like you could fall out at any moment, very uncomfortable. Room was clean, but there was some things left behind from cleaning like used cotton pad and a random pillowcase in bathroom. On our last night, at 5 am a weird alarm started from rooms phone. It only stopped when we unplugged the phone from wall. Administration couldn’t explain what it was. Also - lift wasnt working, but we were warned before our arrival so it was fine.
Hotel has amazing location on a beautiful quite street, great cafes, metro and Notting Hill just a 3-10 minute walk away. Our room was quite big and had amazing high ceilings, overall very nice and beautiful. We could sleep very peacefully all night, as there werent any noises from the street.

GreeceThe breakfast whilst it came in satisfying quantity, the overall quality was average. An additional issue was that during our visit the lift was out of order, which I do realise it was a case of bad timing, but non the less it impacted our stay negatively
The location is excellent, placed 5 minutes away from Hyde Park on quiet street away from traffic and serviced by several lines of the underground and buses. The facilities where well maintained and rather clean. The house-keeping did a stellar job at tidying up the room after we had left for the day.

NorwayExpected more for the hotel breakfast, ended up eating out instead. The baked goods where not fresh and the spread and coffee was not at the quality expected at a 4 star hotel (more at a 2 star level). There was also a weird smell in our room, the receptionist helped us and figured out it came from the shower. Also would be nice to be informed that the bed size in the normal rooms is quite small (120-140cm)
Lovely neighbourhood and close to multiple tube stations as well as Hyde park for morning jogs. The room also felt modern and the hotel has a nice vibe

LatviaI didnt mind it but the elevator wasnt working so for people with disabilities it can be problematic. And in the room there was no robe, no slippers and there was only shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and body wash, but there was no like little things like cotton pads, sewing kit etc etc. in all other 4 star hotels theres always that additional stuff without asking for it. Also they didnt have any adapters. The thing i didnt like the most was the air conditioner, the button for turning the temperature higher was working at first with little struggle but after a while i couldnt change the temperature. Also, the air conditioner stops working at some point and u wake up in cold room, and the floors in the bathroom felt so so cold, and the fact the room was cold in morning wouldnt be a issue if there was robe and slippers. And also my room didnt get cleaned even though i had the please tidy room sign up on my doors and when i went out and put the sign up there was still like vacuum machine and other stuff in the hallway so i knew like i didnt do it too late. I didnt say anything to the staff because i didnt have time and i was there for two nights so it wasnt like they could compensate or upgrade my room because i didnt want to move the rooms when i came to the uncleaned and cold room.
It was nice and modern, the staff was kind and nice and when i got to the hotel at 10am i got the room immediately which i highly appreciated. The room was quiet and i didnt hear my neighbours.
