The staff was a bit standoffish but maybe it was just the one woman that checked me in.

The location was close to many big attractions and allowed for a nice walk along the river.

The door of our room didn’t close from the outside. The boxes to lock belongings don’t fit a cabin suitcase, only small backpacks. The kitchen is approx 10 usable sqm to share with 100+ guests, so it’s impossible to use even late at night. Only 6 seats and 2 tiny fridges, so you’re clearly expected to buy food from the restaurant.

The bed is comfortable and the room is clean. There are closed common areas in the corridors where one can hang out. The restaurant is a very pleasant place to be.

There are few things missing in the shared room that made life difficult. 1- no soap in soap dispenser 2- no hanger in the bathroom or anywhere to place toiletry bag 3- the locked storage cubes were too small, a cabin size luggage does not fit.

Totally soulless. You walk into all the social areas and full of young people glued to either a phone or laptop.

The two fridges in the kitchen are very small. People stuffed them and they need a really good cleaning.

The location, I could walk everywhere or take the transit easy. I would stay again

-No towels (or all used by the roommates, if you get in there later) -Too soft pillows -Mattress would be too tiny if youre a bit overweight or tall -Snoring roommate ..(but thats nothing to do with the hostel) -Ceiling/wallpaper need to be checked, as i think there is some start of mold

-Very welcoming staff -Clean room and lobby -Nice self-service breakfast in the restaurant for 12 euros (various breads, brioches, viennoiseries..) -Fast wifi connection -Lockers for affordable prices to leave your luggage in and go around the city. -Location :2 min walk from M7 station, few min walk to le marais or quartier latin,place de la bastille. Around 30-40min walk to pont des arts then from there to le louvre and la place concorde.

I didn’t like the lockers in the room , the storage was to small even to lock the cabin back didn’t fit ! I didn’t like also that there wasn’t soap in the room for washing hand and tall mirror for everyone to see our self normally especially for female room

I like that there is a privacy in the room for each bed and they give a towel it’s supper good

Shower! Had to press every ten seconds... also there was no hangers in the toilet. The window was kept open most of the time and it's pretty noisy outside. At least a desk and chair in the room would be nice. Best to check the power socket and light in your bunk before settling -- I only realized they weren't working after I unpacked; had to pack again and switched the room.

The design of the room and bed met all the basic needs. In a clean and convenient area.

3pm earliest check-in is a tad later than ideal. The left luggage lockers are pricey. Room doors make a nasty bang when they close. External noise from the commercial inhouse bar goes on to 1-2 am at weekends

Very well appointed with excellent facilities, this new hostel is a value for money option with a great location. I liked the thick draw curtains for the bunk. The chillout room and kitchen looked good tho i didn't use them

For me, charging €9 for leave the luggage after the check out was an absurd! I've never seen it before. They could just let us to leave it in a locked room for free.

Strange rules with hair dryers renting, I don’t want to coming down again and again after shower. And the shower in my room was terrible, the water flow was so small.

The location is great, close to the metro station and the river, supermarkets and nice cafes are so close for breakfast but can also avoid the busy area.

I was in a shared room with private bathroom, tiny but clean and with everything necessary, however the shower stream is so small that it would not allow someone with long hair to wash them, so beware if you’re planning on a longer visit.

The hostel is new, clean in a great location, very close to Notre Dame and the city center. A metro station is also located just next door making it easy to move around the whole city.

I really enjoyed my stay at The People Marais apart from the shower situation. I really appreciate the effort in saving water, but taking a shower where the water stops every 10 -15 seconds is really impracticable. Having to press a button to take a shower is not ideal. My entire experience at The People Marais was positive, but I cannot imagine going there again and the only reason is the showers.

The location is really a plus! Close to subway stations and all around well placed in the city.
