It wasn’t that I didn’t like it but the host locked up at 8pm with only rooms available. However many places to go locally.

In centre of town within 5 minutes walk of many restaurants and bars. Being able to park my car in the hotel’s car park, though the number of spaces are limited due to its position. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Friendly and informative host with a sense of humour who is able to communicate in “Franglais”!

Cyclists be aware that you have to pay 5€ for each bicycle. That applies in the locked bike stores (only one bike allowed in each although our two bikes would fit into one). We offered to leave our bikes outside in the secure parking area where cars are charged 5€ and were told that would still be 10€ for two bikes. Quote "management says". Breakfast was good but it is the first time we have ever had to pre-order our bread and pastries the night before.

Once all guests had checked in to hotel, it closed. You could obviously get in and out with a key fob but it meant that the lovely lounge and bar area was in darkness and you couldn’t get a drink. This was from around 7.30pm! Also, the stairs up to the 2nd floor are quite narrow and steep with no banister. Not a problem for myself but my father struggled and fell over as lost balance and had nothing to hold on to.

Our room faced onto the street which was extremely noisy as it was Friday night. Hardly slept due to the noise but not the hotel’s fault.

Great family room. Spacious and well equipped facilities. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Centrally located and secure parking on site a bonus. Breakfast varied and plentiful. Lovely outside area. Definitely recommend.

Our room had all the amenities you would expect although a little on the small side it was perfect for our very short stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The host speaks English very well and has a great sense of humor! The hotel and room was very clean and tidy with no issues at all. The hotel is located almost directly to the center of Hesdin so everything is right on your doorstep. They also provide off street secure parking. The continental breakfast was great with a large selection of items to choose from.

We liked our room a lot, but if you happen to be a large person, the toilet room is quite small.

The manager of Hypnos went out of his way to help us, AND he was funny! Everything about the hotel is lovely and comfortable.

The room seemed designed for very short people, there was a long mirror that came up to my chest, and the shower head was fitted so low I could not get under it. The hotel is unstaffed after 8pm and this could be made clearer in the publicity.

The room was good and there was adequate light - insufficient light is often a problem. Actually the bed light was almost too bright! The breakfast was adequate. Coffee excellent, baguette OK, croissants disappointing (I would prefer fresh croissants from a real local baker.) The butter was kept in a cold cupboard making it very hard to spread. This is quite unnecessary, it should have been taken out at least an hour earlier. But the staff were delightful and very helpful. Parking was trouble free, secure and convenient. My room (away from the street) was totally quiet.

Very warm welcome from our host, Arnaud, who couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay a good one. Great restaurant recommendations/reservations. Spotlessly clean rooms, and the use of the kitchenette made for great flexibility in managing our cycling/sightseeing activities. Secure parking for both bikes and car.
