Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyHotel was clean but not super clean, the room was quite small and we stayed 3 people in the room for 3 days. There was no duvet for the third person and we asked for it however they told us they cannot provide duvet for the third person and there was only one thin blanket, which does not make sense at all given the weather was pretty cold.

AustraliaI didn’t like that they charge you to hold your luggage for the day. Also, I was in a triple room and the 3rd bed (bunk bed) wasn’t done in the whole time we were there.
The rooms are cleaned very well everyday. The metro station is really close by.

United KingdomNot a proper door to the toilet, uses a sensor instead of a light switch for the bathroom. Not much space for hanging clothes (has hangars that only fit to one place). Heating was a bit finnicky to control.
Location is very close to Paris Gare du Nord, the river, and many touristy spots. Seems to be relatively cheap price for Paris. Room was clean and the lifts were large, making it easy to get luggage up to room.

IndiaVery small rooms. Would prefer some better room for the price we had to pay. In meals, it would be good if they can add Indian food :)
Hotel is quite approachable through metro, taxi. Rooms were very small but clean. Breakfast is served good. Staff is good, supportive.

United Kingdom1. I asked for a disabled, access room, which I got. The fire escape light within the room was very bright and it hurt my eyes. There was no way to cover it or turn it off. Staff offered to move me to a different room which I declined, as it meant packing everything up and finding the energy to move, especially after a long journey to get there. I don't know why that kind of light was in the room in the first place and why I couldn't turn it off. 1. There was nothing hot to eat for breakfast. The boiler eggs were peeled. If they were left in their shells some heat could be retained.
The rooms are cleaned everyday. Short walk from metro. Big supermarket next door.

BelgiumThe shower being kind of see-through and no seperate bathroom (shower in the room and no lock on either shower nor toilet). No plug next to the bed on both sides and just enough plugs for 3 people (3 plugs, one near the sink). The shower was kind of dirty and leaked through the see-through door onto the bedroom floor. The shower head had no pressure to wash your hair and the water went all sides (including outside the shower).
The kiosk to order food downstairs and they brought the ordered food up to your room (we ordered Italian), the breakfast was good and def worthy of the 10 euros price, and the lockers for your luggage were not expensive for a whole day and fit 3 carry-on suitcases and 3 additional handbag. The bed was also big enough for 2 people. New towels when asked/day. The staff was nice and spoke good English! Metro stations and a grocery store next to the hotel and no one cared if you took food up your room. Check-in was throughout the day whenever you wanted, and checkout was late (at 12).

United Arab EmiratesThe toilet is almost see through , and water builds up when you shower. Make sure you bring your own toiletries, as there is only one shampoo/body wash. There is also no free luggage service, you have to rent a locker on the ground floor if you want to leave your luggage’s for a while before your next destination.
It is a budget hotel so I was not expecting a lot. You got what you pay for. Since we only need it for sleep and shower, it was ok, but if you have more budget , opt to stay to a nicer hotel. The plus was it has a Carrefour supermarket at the ground floor and there are decent restaurants near the hotel. It was a bit of a travel from the hotel to the attractions but we don’t mind since we used the Metro a lot and use Google.

UkraineThe room is smaill, very simple and a water from shower could enter the room during the taking shower. Price is too high as for me for such simple room. But it seems that in Paris the prices are so hight that for less money you'll leave in the not very pleasant place, so I should be happy :) Anyway I have a nice memories from this place, thank you. P.S.Not recommend to walk at Stalingrad metro station at night.
It was clean room located close to several metro station in a quite district. It took 20-25 min to get to the center by metro. There was a privat shower and toilet in the room. In the lobby they have a microwave. it's very nice, and a Carrefour in the same building.

RomaniaToilet room not isolated enough (felt like a small dressing room in the store). Missing hairdryer (but available to borrow only for one hour and based on giving your ID as a guarantee which felt abusive)
Conveniently close to 2 different metro stations, a Carrefour supermarket at the ground floor, clean room, nice staff, comfortable bed.

United KingdomAbit small the rooms but ok for young families. No kettle, fridge in rooms..Could do with more facilities in the room. No communal areas to sit or hang out if you have bigger kids -Just the front lobby. There is a water cooler in the first floor dining but doesn't open after 11am! Or after breakfast No access in there to get water. Abit annoyed about that. You have to pay for locker storage. Didn't do that as used the locker by gare du Nord instead. Didn't have food for lunch or dinner. Only breakfast which didn't help if you wake up past 10am.
Location great, supermarket just next door. Close to Laumeire (3-4min) or Jaures(4-5min) metro stations. Room is clean tidy. Basic budget. Could do with more facilities in the room like fridge/ kettle. But receptionist can provide boiling water. And there is a communal microwave too.
