How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was no parking places, i had to drive 30 minates to find a parking place on the Streets. Parking is a problem over there

The location is well deserved by 2 metro stations at 10min walk, 20min by metro and u're at the heart of paris, but the surroundings can be scary especially at night.
Clean, comfortable beds, big locker, smooth check in and check out.

The showers are not built to keep water in and there was a lot of mess so I had to rent a towel (would rather have a floor towel provided for us). Also the shower door didn’t close at all. If there was a way to at least crack open a window for some ventilation that would also be great.
You get what you pay for really, but it was better than I initially thought. I like the security of the place.

The curtain in my bed wasn't working very well but nothing that impeded me from having a good night of sleep. And also had a lamp that was loose inside my bunk bed.
The staff was very friendly. Easy check-in and check-out. Good showers and water temperature. A good amount of shops to eat around.

There is no possibility to wahs your hands after using the toilet, as the lavabo is located where the shower is. This is a major design fail. Otherwise my experience was very positive!
Well orgaized, nice designed, clean and modern hostel. Perfect for solo travellers. The concept is designed for auto-check-in but there are still helpful and friendly staff around. The bed with curtains allow enough privacy. Location is perfect accessible with 10 Min. Wlak to metro station or 2 Min. Walk to busstation.

The self-ckeck in/out machine at the front door was not working properly and they had to assign my keycard manually. Vending machines malfunctioned with credit card but still charged me. Other than card only accepted coins. Bed courtain had missing pins so couldn't be closed properly. The staff was not in the best mood but normal for France.
The loung was nice and good for working; had charging ports next to all seats. Self-check in and out is also a plus. Beds had privacy courtains and charging port. My room had 10 beds with 2 toilets and 2 showers. Was far from the city center but somewhat close to a metro station. Other guests that stayed there were really nice.

Never seen a hostel that much quiet. There is no interaction between travelers, no animation at all, it feels a bit weird. Every one is silent, no one talks to each other. The staff is a bit shy, friendly but not really dynamic. No effort is made to bring some energy to the place.
The hostel is clean and modern. The rooms are well equipped. Each bed has its own individual lights, power plugs and curtains for discretion. The private bathroom was rather big (2 showers, 2 WC and 2 sinks for an 8 beds dorm) and everything was clean.
