Rooms were not very well insulated to sound. The transmission of sound from the passage way to other rooms was very evident.

The choice of food for breakfast was good, the room breakfast was provided in was in need to a revamp and had clearly seen better days.

After a long drive and tired, 1st time trying to enter the room (with our bags) the key cards did not work. The receptionist downstairs was not there, despite calling and knocking several times on the Staff Only door. After 5min of that i went to cafe attached to the hotel and a very helpful lady went to call the receptionist. She eventually activated the cards on the machine... But no apology! Shower lets a lot of water fall out of shower area so the floor gets very wet all around the shower

I booked and paid for a superior room but on arrival was allocated a tiny room, not the one reserved. After discussion with reception, who insisted my room was a superior one, I was eventually moved to larger room with fridge which I had paid for. Disappointing service.

felt like we were given an inferior room. asked for a different room and receptionist said nothing available. found out the next morning we were only people staying there. tried to use the hairdryer the next morning to find it went all red inside and literally set on fire !! I informed the staff who were not remotely bothered.

The hallway outside our room was dark and the auto light was at the end of the hallway. Thus property has seen better days ;)

Easy to find, park and visit Cáceres and Los Barruecos. The front desk and restaurant staff were very nice and helpful.

Dog owners be warned its 15 euros a night for a dog, I was only informed of the actual charge the day before my arrival, I felt I should have been informed at the time of booking. Previous hotels I've stayed in are usually free or just 5 euros, I felt 15 euros rather, excessive.

The breakfast was very good with plenty of dishes to choose from. Also evening meal In the cafeteria/restaurant was tasty, served by a very helpful friendly man.

Excellent location for breaking our journey from Santander to the Algarve - about half way(timewise). Very clean standard, no frills hotel. Very adequate three course dinner, with bread and a glass of wine for just 15eur. Our waiter, Juan, was brilliant. He put a note on our table welcoming us , translated into English , and was very friendly and helpful. We even got a handshake and kisses after dinner. Our room at the back of the hotel was very quiet, had a nice view and we could see our car in the car park.

it is a large modern hotel built before COVID and is usually very quiet when we stay. which is a shame.

We take the ferry to Santander with our dog as then travel down to Andalucia. los Barruecos is the perfect stop for a couple of days. Dog friendly hotel with marvellous natural park and an international standard art gallery nearby - friendly town - nice walk round lake nearby. The staff in hotel bar / restaurant very friendly

The walls are a bit thin. Everything was outdated.

It was on the way, good stop if you just need a place to sleep. Staff was kind and helpful. Simple but good breakfast and a good expresso ☕️

The check in was awful. We needed a late check in and called the hotel before booking to confirm this would be OK. We were told there would be a machine to facilitate 24 hour check in, as well as a phone number. The machine was extremely difficult to operate and the phone numbers were unanswered. A very poor show at 4am in the morning! Luckily other residents arrived while we were struggling and helped us to get in. The process took over half an hour. It would have been much better if the phone were just answered. If not for this, the stay would have been excellent.

The facilities were great. The room was clean and the breakfast very good. The parking was ample as well.

The air conditioning only started working in the middle of the night. The shower only gave very hot water.

There was a noise coming from the electric board all night long, forcing us to sleep with ear plugs. Breakfast was poor.

The location was good for us, right next to the main road, as we were just passing by. Very close to Los Barruecos as well.
