Great views, but the building and internal layout betrays its age and design austerity.

The shower room was on the small side for the class of hotel and price. The balcony was sparse and austere being very utilitarian in its design and materials (concrete / steel).

The room view was exceptional. The welcome on arrival from the doorman / porter was first class.

    Expected more from 5* hotel

Basically I expected more from the price. For example, there is no kettle in the room that I find strange for 5* hotel. Or once we ordered the food in the evening with a room service, they promised everything would be ready in 15 min, but we waited more then hour. They were really nice, were sorry for the delay and were giving us two glasses of prosecco for free. Yes, it is good attitude, but I would like to get my food fast snd not sitting in the room hungry for a long time. The water in the swimming pool was not 30 degrees as it promoted in the hotel materials. Actually in the evening it was rather cold. We tried again in the morning, but still was not 30 degrees. So, for my opinion they use their location, that is certainly amazing. However, they need to improve the service.

The location is top. The sea view is amazing. We also enjoyed to stay in spa in the evenings as it was not a lot of people there.

all in all it was very pleasant. we had 8 months old baby with us and we were hoping the pool would contain an area for kids which was not the case. the pool water temperature was a bit cold for an infant. however, it was already mentioned on the website that it’s 30 degrees C so we already knew it won’t be ideal for our baby. not a complaint, more of a remark for future families.

the location and the room view was amazing!

Too expensive for what you get

Polite staff. Great location but incredibly overpriced. I booked halfboard and both breakfast and dinner were good. I also used the swimming pool. But overall, I think the price is way too much for what you get.

    - charging the parking 25euro per day on top as extra cost i think is really un-fair especially considering the costs per night of the room - in the morning or evening we had to wait almost 10 min for taking the elevator

really nice and friendly staff, loved how they helped us to make the room more pleasant for me and my family (with a newborn)

It was good that I stayed until Monday, because elevators are a pain on Sunday morning. The trick is to join one that goes up, because those that are coming down are all full. You need to make reservations for dinner in all hotel restaurants, even in off-season.

Loved the included breakfast buffets, the view from the balcony of the room, the service (incl. the refill for the coffee machine in the room). I used the indoor pool daily. The view and the indoor pool were my main reasons to pick this hotel. Hotel provides a shuttle service to/from the train station. There are no taxis at the station and walking would be far too far.

During rush hours there was waiting time at the elevators. This might be caused by covid-restrictions.

We had breakfast in our room and this was amazing, a large variety of everything from eggs, bread, cake, fish, cold cuts, cheese, juice and hot drinks.

The rooms all have view towards the sea, but they are rather small for their price, especially if you travel with a kid that sleeps in there as well. But I have to nitpick here, there is little to complain. Its a big hotel, so there are plenty of people, sure. The stuff is very attentive and tries to make the stay as personal as possible, but if you do not like big hotels, this is not really your first choice.

This is a legendary hotel with an exceptional history and beautiful location with the big ships passing. As such the staff knows where they are working: It's professional, clean, tidy and well worth its 5 stars. Do not miss the buffet of the evening: we went outside for dinner a couple of days since we loved the fish taverns around but the last evening went for the buffet - kind of as a last resort since we were tired of going out again: the buffet is a competitive alternative to the restaurants in Warnemünde. try it and find a table close to the windows to have the sun set as you finish your dinner. The staff is super friendly and also the bed they added for our kid was solid built and clean. very good service.

    Welcome seaside break in Warnemünde

It is a big hotel with a large capacity for guests, which means there is sometimes a lengthy wait for the lifts to and from the lobby to the rooms. The only alternative route appeared to be via the fire escape outside the building via a metal staircase. This was very impractical with a dog or luggage and impossible at night or in bad weather - i wondered where the disabled emergency exit was.

Wonderful location directly on the beach. Every room has a fantastic view of the sea, even from the bathrooms! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and polite. The food was great, too. This hotel is also very dog-friendly, with a welcome 'food station' in the room for our four-legged friend.

Breakfast was very on the cheap site , very crowded, no crowd control regarding covid in place at all. A bit scary not to adhere to any covid rules at breakfast. Lobby bar no food at all available.

Great old fashion style service , particularly the man with long hair at the lobby bar, as well the front office team member who checked us in and out. Great service and nice atmosphere with him. View of course is very nice.

Nice hotel but not at the level of a 5 stars - will not come back
    • Leisure trip
    • Couple

Some staff members are clearly not at the level of a 5 star hotel... 2 examples: 1) During a stay at the sauna, one of the staff members refused me entrance to one of the sauna rooms arguing that the session had already started - however the session had not started yet as the people were currently entering and the room was not full at all (but he let my fiancée to get in despite clearly seeing we were together. Quite a mystery to me to understand the logic of this person...) This was a highly unpleasant and a bit humiliating experience. Crazy to see such a lack of care in his explanation for a 5 star hotel (or even any other hotel)... 2) On the first evening, we decided to have a drink in the "Sky bar" if most of the staff was ok, here again we unfortunately had a negative experience with a rather unfriendly staff member (not pleasant, bit harsh and almost ignoring us when we asked him to come at the table) The restaurant offers are nice but in my opinion way too simplistic for a 5 stars standard. (fine everydays food but nothing fancy on the plate nor in the room atmosphere) - We had a charming staff person here but still we were a bit disappointed by the offer on the menu. Last, more a small details but rather relevant again, when we checked-out the staff member did not ask us if we had a pleasant stay or whatsoever - don't want to be picky here, but such a small attention should be a norm in any hotel to make sure if your guests had a good time (regardless the amount of stars) Please note that we (my fiancée and I)) are both very easy going friendly persons. Hence, if I take the time to write down this comment about some staff members, this is really to highlight that this was clearly negatively marking us.

The view from our room was simply gorgeous Nice breakfast Very pleasant staff at the wellness center - truly enjoyed my experience here! Overall good staff with few exceptions (see next section)

The staff is not too kind and not too forthcoming. We don't really understand what 5 stars are about. Maybe there could be 5 stars here in 90 years but not in 2024. Neither in terms of interior nor the fact that not all the lamps that are in it work in the roomThe smell of entering the room as a nursing home as a medical institution. From counting you have to reckon with some kind of mystical tax of 14.80 euros Which we hadn't been warned about before. Staying in other hotels nearby such tax was not paid.

View of the Sea. Great breakfast.

Staff were neither good or bad. Service certainly didn't feel special in anyway. Room was too hot. Room was located literally right next to the elevator shaft which was noisy! Had to wait a long time for elevators in morning. No irons in room, apparently this is due to the high floors which sounds reasonable... However, I was travelling for a conference at Hansmesse and needed an iron for my suit/shirts so a frustration. Other option was from 8eur an item to iron. The hotel did not reply to the question I sent them regarding travel from train station to hotel.

Beautiful location: incredible views of the sea. Great breakfast. Close to Warnemunde station.
