Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyAs of my first experience in a camp in this region, I can not really judge it in a way to influence on others. I did not expect nights to be very cold. My mistake in booking was that I forgot to book with sleeping bags and mat and I had to pay extra. But thanks to them they were nice to provide us with them. But I expected that they clean the sleeping bags. Or they could also add some info how the weather is moist and cold at nights. Or the cost of hot shower.
The staff were nice and friendly. They provided breakfast.

AustraliaLocation and price were great for Oktoberfest. Staff were legends. The two days we happened to go it rained and was 8 degrees which made camping less than ideal. Think splendour in Munich.

GermanyIt’s really bad in terms of cleanliness they don’t even provide toilet tissues. No hot water at all, if you want to bath then it’s impossible because the water was too cold. And we booked with bed still they denied to provide and extra charge for sleeping bag.

AustraliaLook. Just know what your getting into. Its a small tent you may have to share in peak Oktoberfest & you gotta pay extra for blankets & a mat despite the tent being super pricy anyway. I guess i didn’t know what i was getting into. If your down for all that & forgot to book accomodation until the last minute like me, its far cheaper than any other option around
The staff where very helpful

ItalyTents are a bit crowded with few space in between. Few plugs for recharging mobile telephone.
Good position, 4 km from oktoberfest and 5 km from city center. Clean enough for a camping. Not much choice at breakfast, but quantity is more than enough.

ItalySmall tents but you can sleep peacefully, I recommend more than one blanket to take with you or a sleeping bag.
The best solution during the Oktoberfest without spending a lot. Upon returning from the Oktoberfest the fun continues in the camping!

GermanyThe camping tents were too close to each other and there was a distinct smell inside of the tent. The sleeping bags and pillows provided were fresh and didn't smell. The location is a little remote and there is only 1 bus in and out of the stay to the Munich city. So you will have to time all your trips according to that bus schedule.
The camping tents were in a quiet location in the middle of a huge park with a river flowing beside the stay. It was very peaceful and we could go for long strolls in the park. There is also a surfing practice wave nearby which was a lot of fun to watch. The common bathrooms were neat and maintained well. There was no litter or noise on the camping grounds.

Czech RepublicVery noisy, dirty and uncomfortable type of accommodation. The low price cannot make up for it. The information for the accommodation (tent} was misleading. Booking.com advised about 2 beds 90-130 cm minimum, which was not true. It was a tiny tent with no equipment at all, not properly cleaned. The width of the tent was definitely not 180 cm. It was my third stay on this campsite. However, during my earlier stays I took my own tent and equipment and it was O.K. I assume that some business organisation under the name Munich Central Camping rents space from the Camping Thalkirchen /city of Munich campsite/ for the time of the Octoberfest. The tents are crammed next to each other on a relatively small area. One can hear even a whisper in the next tent, not mentioning drunken individuals that arrive whole night long. Please note that the Octoberfest is not just about getting drunk. There are attractive costumes and well-tasting food. The large tents of the Octoberfest close down at 22.30, however some people continue to drink much longer and arrive to the camp accordingly. This was supported by the campsite "club" /open site/ music that produced noise long after midnight. (Only a small fraction of camp guests was there, however, everybody had to listen to it]. Well, if you are on a low budget, and you do not want to carry your own tent, it may be a choice for you. Perhaps for one night - but only if you are properly drunk - well wasted. Just to crash down. Please note that there was not toilet paper available. There were lines for the showers in the morning. Furthermore, the toilets were dirty /human faeces frequently visible/. After one night, there were even blood stains in both shower/bathroom places in the morning. The English-speaking staff hired for the occassion /Munich Central guests are dealt separately from other Camping Thalkirchen guests/ tried to be nice and were polite.

United StatesThe toilets weren't supplied with toilet paper, beds were out by the time we got there so I we shared a single sleeping bag. They were understanding and cut me a deal on the sleeping gear, but if going definitely bring your own. For 10 dollars each per night, I got an ancient sleeping bag and a moldy sleeping pad. I understand that running this during Oktoberfest has to be a nightmare, but after the first night I spent over two hundo for a hotel and it was so worth it. If your wasted than it's a great place to crash, they kept the party goin, and it was definitely the cheapest option.
Great area, lovely river, but caused it to get cold at night. The team was always helpful, and cheerful.

United StatesThe two person tent is very small for two people. I rented a mat to sleep on and a sleeping back. The mat had dirt all over it. Very difficult to sleep because the club closes around 2am and people are still loud until about 4am. You have to buy toilet paper. It was also difficult finding a place to charge my phone. I had to charge my phone in the bathroom.
Staff was friendly.

BrazilMisleading advertising. Hidden charges that we were forced to pay, for example: mattress, sleeping bag, hot water for shower, toilet paper. In addition, unhealthy tent. The tent, mattress and sleeping bag had a lot of dirty and mold. They have not been washed. The tent had also a hole on it. We didn't stayed there and asked for a refund direct in the property, but they refused it. The staff was not properly trained for this situation either.

I am not going to sugarcoat it because this is as budget as it gets, but the campsite was great, the staff were brilliant and it was a great opportunity to meet a whole bunch of awesome people. Save your money for the beer halls! My friends and I were on a very strict budget and you can't find anything this price in Munich, so we really lucked out!
