Exceeded expectations indeed, well situated, even had EV charging that worked well. Immaculate establishment. Food excellent. Slight arrogance, but that was probably to mask not being confident in English, which was of course "perfect" .. Looking forward to using this hotel again.

There didn't seem to be much else in the area as far as other alternatives for dinner and I was traveling without a car during a day when the German train workers were on strike. The food at the restaurant was great but there were really no inexpensive options. Not a negative but the restaurant was very popular on the weekend and so a reservation is recommended. Despite being busy the hotel was well equipped to handle the number of guests.

I stayed in the second newer building (separate from the restaurant / check-in building). The room was spacious, quiet and very clean. The hotel is located in a picturesque location with a hill and vineyard as a view across the street from the second building. There is a train station and bus stop on the opposite side of the same block. The breakfast and the food in the restaurant was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was enough parking for the number of guests the hotel had and the neighboring area was a quiet small town type setting.

Check in at the restaurant just up the road could cause a confusion to some travellers but not me.

Well-appointed, large and impeccably clean rooms. The restaurant is gourmet-level - don't forget to book a table as it's very popular! The village is really charming as well and we took the opportunity to buy a carton of excellent pinot noir at the local winery. Last but not least -- there is now a charging station for our electric car!👏

This hotel is highly recommendable. The staff is very nice, the rooms are very large and comfortable with modern appliances, beautiful furniture and bathrooms. We go there 4 times a year with our kids as we travel through and couldn't ask for a better place to stay. The restaurant is really good, too!

The bedside light arrangement was strange.

Actually, what stood out was the restaurant. I thought it was excellent that they are trying hard to save energy (heating off because it was warm enough without). Also like big soap/shampoo dispensers. Allowed me to make my own lunch packet from breakfast for a very reasonable charge.
