We enjoyed our visit to Hotel Planinka, most likely the best accommodation in Ljubno ob Savinje. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, clean. The owners (or staff) are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is truly 5* - eggs made to your liking, decent selection of meat, cheeses, bakery, sweets, local products (the famous Savinjski želodec, yoghurts), pancakes, fruit... Parking in front of the house is free, there's space for safely storing your bikes, and the bells of the church next door are fortunately quiet at night. There are several restaurants or pubs within walking distance.

While we only stayed for one night, we had an excellent time, the owner was very friendly, he even helped us to park our motorcycles in a carport to keep them dry during the expected rain :) The appartment was very clean, equipped with everything you'll need, the beds are comfy and the bathroom is huge. Highly recommended, would visit again!

The location is amazing, right in the city center, allowing you to walk to all of Ljubljana's old town from the hotel. The staff was exceptionally nice, assisting us with booking taxis, checking trains, and recommending attractions. The breakfast was quite good, and the room was clean and cozy. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

The rooms as well as the common area are superb, clean and modern while being warm and inviting. Between Vanja and the rest of the staff everything was attended to with extreme efficiency. The breakfasts are just about the best I have experienced!

The staff was super nice, the hotel decorations were nice and modern, and the rooms and hotel were quite clean. The breakfast is absolutely recommended, and they gave us complimentary drinks.

This is not a criticism of the hotel itself, but if you are arriving in Ljubljana by train or bus, the city's public transportation is not good. Google Maps is not helpful, and the hotel is located rather far from the city center.

We prefer better pillows on the bed. No wine glasses or wine bottle opener were available. Only one dishcloth for 4 days is stretch. The size of the bathroom towels were very small.
