Positive section of review
A cosy comfortable hotel in a ski town (though I was not there for winter sports). Easy access, since it was a short walk down the main road from JR Shinkansen Echigo-Yuzawa Station. While a modern hotel, and Japanese in style, it reminded me of Meiji period architecture where western elements were combined with traditional Japanese style. For example my room had tatami mats and a futon bed, but the futon was on a 15cm foam base and was set against the wall. Also the chairs were lower than standard western chairs, but higher than sitting on a cushion on the tatami mats. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the onsen with a view over the Shinkansen lines and the mountains beyond was very relaxing.

Great house with everything you need, laundry and cooking included. Nice rooftop terrace to chillout in the evenings with view to parts of the Skytree. Yan was a great and friendly host who provided us with all the nececarry information and questions we had. Location wise only a short walk to Yotsugi-Station with easy access to the rest of Tokyo. Very quiet and and nice neighborhood with a few good restaurants, shops and a public bathhouse in walking distance.

The stay at Hotel Kuu Kyoto was a great one. I stayed for a short time, but the location and amenities were worth it. I enjoyed the breakfast and public bath. I liked the QR code to let you know the vacancy of the bath and laundry.

Location was amazing..10meters from the.main subway station. Room.was comfortable. Service was excellent and staff super friendly and accommodating. Breakfasts were great.

Easy to access from station. Location was at walking distance. The rooms are a good size. Exit number 5 from Namba station and you could walk along the outside to the hotel.

- Building common area feels quite old and run down (eg. lift has a bad stench while the building generally looks old judging from the common areas) - Need to take rubbish downstairs ourselves - No re-supply of essentials like tooth brush/tooth paste/toilet paper/tissue - No room/cleaning service - cookware is very limited and some in really bad conditions (unusable)
