Just fyi I have never written a complaint before but I was so disappointed with this hotel. Initially when we got there we were so happy the location and building is beautiful. Staff were polite and we were given the keys to our room which looked semi-clean but noticed a putrid smell of what only can be described as cigarette smoke / cannabis throughout the room, we told the staff who came back with air freshener which I thought was a terrible response. I explained we were a family of 4 and I have asthma so didn’t want to spray something on top of it. We had already kept doors open to see if that would help but it didn’t. Asked politely to change the rooms to which we got told no. Spent 3 nights in a room with a horrendous smell which was unfortunate and ruined our magical trip.

I was also disappointed at the lack of alternative milks. Coffee provided in the room but I have an allergy e dairy and wasn’t able to get an alternative milk at the Starbucks coffee shop or any other place. And I was told I could only get some if I paid 16 euros for breakfast. Luckily one staff member got me some eventually after I embarrassingly had to beg although I had offered to pay for a standard rate of milk but obviously didn’t want to pay 16 euros for half a cup of almond milk.

A truly delightful hotel with a wonderful staff, a charming bar, lovely garden and refreshing pool. The location just a few blocks away from the center of town was perfect.

The location is excellent and it makes for a great base to explore Paris. The staff were very helpful and breakfast in the room was also excellent.

The night light in the stairwell kept coming on all night and kept us awake. We did have the curtains open because it was quite warm in the room.

We liked staying on the boat and even though it is quite old is was very comfortable.

We were told that we would be the only ones aboard the boat. At 10 pm 2 people claiming to be the owners came aboard. As we were told that we would be the only ones onboard we hadn't checked that our bedroom door locked, which it didn't. We had a child aboard with us who felt extremely uncomfortable sleeping with strangers so close by. I messaged my contact for the booking with no reply. There was a commotion at midnight, and we realised very early the next morning that the owners must have left, and they didn't even lock the back door to the boat leaving it open all night. Worst experience ever, they refused to refund me. The Hot Tub that can be seen in all the photos can only be used if you pay an extra 99 euros.

Some of the design and architecture solutions look great but lack some practical functionality. E.g. the shelf instead of the bedside tables looks very good, but it isn’t as easy to use as a bedside table… small things that become interesting architectural explorations on themselves
