Our stay at Parador de Cadiz was perfect from beginning to end. The staff were welcoming and informative, our room faced the ocean and was beautiful, the room was quiet, we loved the pool (cool, but worth it). The location was perfect - near the tapas bars, restaurants and groceries in La Vina and near La Caleta Beach with its beautiful sunsets. Our room also overlooked the lovely Parque Genoves, which was a welcome respite from days of being in tourist centers. There are complaints that the hotel is far from town, which is a bit of a mystery. The Roman Theatre is a very easy walk and a bus runs from the old town every few minutes and is extremely easy to navigate.

Several reviews seem offended by the fact that this hotel is modern - so if that troubles anyone this is not the place for you. By the time we arrived, we had been travelling for weeks in Spain and were glad to have space and to actually be close to a real neighborhood with families (La Vina and the playground at Parque Genoves).

Everything was 100% better than expected, Great location, excellent facilities, wonderful host family, clear precise arrival information, peaceful, and as an added bonus, scrambled eggs for breakfast, made from home grown produce...Plenty of parking as well... Can't recommend Nerey, her family and the accommodation highly enough... Definitely one to return to...

The location is great: everything is nearby. The flat is big & it has a lift, kitchen & 2 bathrooms which is a plus.

The mattress isn't comfy & the tv sofa is dirty. If you've a car be aware that it's a complicated area to park. Especially if you bring big luggage, you'll need to walk a bit. The flat is located in one of the popular streets so consider the noise at night.

Location excellent. Great to have fridge and kettle in the room. Lovely fresh fruit at breakfast.

The price was quite expensive as the room is small so you have to squeeze past the bed. Coffee was not good. Breakfast plates are tiny so you need 6 or 7 trips to the buffet for a full breakfast and staff slow to take away the plates. A bit noisy due to hen night in the room next door.

The only downside is that the staff of the restaurant where you have breakfast isn’t very friendly, they were quite rude to us, but everything else and the apartment staff were great
