Positive section of review
The hostel is really in a perfect spot, very close to three Metro-lines as well as Nanjingdonglu. The Bund is a 25 Minute walk away. Rooms are small but very clean, modern, comfortable and quiet. Staff speaks English well and is very happy to help. There is a bar at the hostel which serves a good selection of beers and coffee. Roya at the front desk makes excellent cappuccino.

I was very well taken care of by Lily and Annie at the Club Intercontinental. Great service and it was great to be back at this excellent hotel after 15 years. Back in the day I stayed there regularly and it was a pleasure to find out that this hotel has kept it's excellent level over the years.

The triple room is OK for three persons, there is enough space for big suitcases. Everything is clean. There were washing machines and dryers on our floor, so we could wash and dry our clothes - very comfortable is when you are on a trip for weeks.

It is quite noisy in the room, you can hear the vehicles passing through the nearby streets all night long. The reception staff did not speak English. They used translation apps, and so we managed to communicate with them. But in my humble opinion it is not OK for a hotel of an international chain, where guests come from all over the world, to have reception clerks without at least basic English.

I love a Langham hotel… especially the smell when you walk in the front door. The staff are always next level great and no matter what city you’re in they can communicate amazingly well in English.

The images in booking don’t reflect how the hotel looks like. Our room was not properly painted and the hotel was quite old. Also, you have to go through a large freeway in most of the cases for arriving. No near facilities if you need something. Smoking odour everywhere.
