Although the property is not accessible by car, it is only a few minutes walk from the road to the alley. The entrance to Lijiang Old Town is within walking distance with many restaurants along the way. Otherwise it is possible to walk up the hill to Shizishan view point and down to Square Market. Yue Tu Inn is run by a family that is very friendly and helpful. On a clear day, the Jade Dragon Snow mountain could be seen from the bedroom.

We especially appreciated the warm hospitality offered by hotel owner and his family and staff. He is the only tourism professional we met so far who speaks English fluently and willingly helped us for every practical need. Our room was very nice and bright, tastefully decorated. We actually got a free upgrade upon arrival. Rooms are situated around a nice and quite courtyard with a lot of beautiful flowers. A washing-machine was at our disposal free of charge. A delicious traditional breakfast was served daily. Hotel location is just great, at the edge of the old town. We were able to go everywhere by foot.

I stayed there 5 nights and it was beautiful. The location was perfect, not far from the center of old town and just near the road where you can take taxi or bus to railway station or bus station. The hosts were very friendly, always offered us tea, fruits and local flower cakes for free. They even made a laundry and gave a transfer to airport for free. They helped us to navigate in the city and also to book some trips.

Everything was perfect

Accept foreigners - owners are super nice, always willing to help and very friendly. Breakfast and tea provided is great as well. The place is easy to find and access, not far from all interesting places in old town while remain really quiet. The rooms are all differently designed with a great taste. Clean and comfortable, bed was big and I had a great sleep. I will definitely go again next time I come in this city !

The water from the shower area flows outside. Toilet is a little cramp. The steps from the road to the property is very steep and care must be taken to climb it. There is also an elevated cobbled road from the steps to the property. The property is at the bottom of a steep hill to the old town.

We were pleasantly surprised to get an upgrade for our room and it came with a balcony. Property is near to old town Lijiang. There are lots of eateries around. Owner is very helpful. He helped us to arrange transportation to the jade dragon snow mountain as well as the tiger leaping gorge tourist area. It is walkable to the old town. There is also a washing machine we could use, however there is no dryer.

Our host went out of his way to arrange golf & a driver to the nearby Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Course, the world's longest golf course. This which would have been very difficult without his help. He also stayed up to let us back in the guesthouse after we lost track of time during a long night walk in old Lijiang town.

Altough we liked the hotel/room, the photos could suggest a higher standard than it has. It's still a rather simple, family-run hotel with a few minor inconveniences such as some smell in the bathroom etc. Given that the price is a bit high.

The owner was very friendly, for example organized a taxi from the station for us and helped us with getting bus tickets etc. The location is perfect, right at the beginning of the historic old town and the room is comfy.

The location is just right at old town. the transportation is very easy to get by taxi or bus. Host is a very nice person , he will provide all the imformation before arrive and contact with me to make sure i'm safe to get there. he also honestly recommend me a tour to Shangri-la which is help me a lot. The room decorate in Chinese tranditional style and the bed is very comfy, All the staff are very very very nice people i met in this trip.

Mostly the location, which is near half of main attractions of the old city, but placed on its edge, what makes it very convenient for the taxi to find and for a person to check in. Also having more cheaper shops and restaurants nearby, and it’s just in front of the Peter Gullard former house, so can start sightseeing from there.
